We walk deep into the woods together trying to find his tree house. The woods seem different tonight, it doesn't feel as scary as it usually is. Tonight I feel safe, like nothing could hurt me.
The moon is full and milk white, shinning on the ground below like a spot light. The glow falls upon February's face making him look almost holy-like.
We eventually make it to the clearing in the woods where his tree house lies. He leads me to the back of the house and my eyes light up as I see a large lake, only a few meters away.
The reflection of the moon shines onto the lake making it look magical. It's stunning, simply stunning. I've never seen anything like this before...ever.
"Oh my God.." I breath, "Feb..this is amazing," I say in a trance.
"Come here."
He brings me closer to the lake near some huge silver boulders. He gathers a bowling ball sized snow pile off of the ground and compacts it together. I furrow my eyebrows and watch him.
I watch as he closes his eyes and breaths in and out. The snow ball begins to reshape itself. I gasp as it begins to take the form of ice-skates.
OH. MY. GOD!!! My eyes grow about tens times their natural size. I look in awe as he opens his eyes. He smiles and hands them to me.
"Their beautiful!...But why do I need them?" I ask blinking at him.
He just smiles and walks over to the water's edge. Crouching over, he concentrates and dips the tips of his fingers in the lake.
Ice suddenly begins to spread from him outwards to the rest of the lake.
OH MY MOTHER FUCKING GOD!!! *excuse my language*
OH MY GOD...HE'S ELSA!!!!!!! I KNOW ELSA!!!!
He stands back up and grabs more snow and makes skates for himself. I stand perfectly still, mouth hanging open. Does he not realize how cool he is?
"Aren't you gonna put your skates on?" he asks nonchalantly.
"You ju-. And then you-. But I-"
He laughs at my reaction as he puts on his MAGIC FRICKEN SKATES!!
I put on the skates carefully, still in shock. The insides feel as soft as snow, but they aren't cold which is good. He balances over to me and kneels down to tighten the laces.
"You're amazing.." I whisper under my breath.
"I try," he smirks.
How did he even hear me??
Once the laces are tied, he grabs my hands and walks me over to where the land meets the lake. We inch our way onto the ice slowly but surely.
Soon we're a good distance from land he suddenly lets go.
He sees the panic in my eyes and tries to grab a hold of me, but I end up landing on my butt...really hard.
"Oops, sorry. Are you okay?" he asks skating around my like a professional.
"Yeah..I'm good."
He helps me up and stands in front of me holding both my hands parallel to each other, "Just follow my lead," he instructs.
He skates backwards pulling me with him. I'm totally gonna fall again, I know it. I wobble and stumble over my own feet over and over again.
"I'm gonna let go okay?" he smiles.
I nod, but hide the fear I feel. He lets go and I baby-step towards him. We both start to laugh at how slow I'm moving.
I think I'm actually getting the hang of this! Skating is so fu-
My body suddenly shakes, causing me to loose my balance. I close my eyes preparing for the impact...but it never happens. Instead my body falls into a pair of arms. Hmm..they feel familiar.
I open one of my eyes to see Feb holding onto me. He's breathing fast and he looks at my with relief.
"Nice..catch," I tell him.
He lifts me up and carries me bridal style, "Hold on."
He starts picking up speed with me in his arms. I admire the scenery as the wind rushes passed us. This feeling is...amazing. I don't think I've ever smiled this much in one day.
He spins around in a circle making me squeal. It starts to snow a little heavier as he looks at me. He places a small kiss on my lips and I kiss him back.
"This is so cool!" I beam.
"I know right."
All of a sudden, his skate hits off a bump in the ice. We both scream as we tumble onto the cold ice. He holds me in his strong arms as we slide together, with his body wrapped tightly around me.
Eventually we stop sliding and I look up from his arms. He looks down at me to make sure I'm okay. We breath in and out as we lie on our backs in the middle of the lake. We chuckle and he rubs his side.
"That hurt," I chuckle.
We both look up at the night sky, we watch as snow falls all around us. This all feels like a dream. Stuff like this only happens in the movies and let me tell you, my life is no movie.
It's more of a...series. Movies have endings and it either ends good or bad. In a series..it doesn't end as fast as it does in a movie. There are episodes and seasons...and that's kinda like life..I guess. Marriage, college, playschool, graduating, buying your first car. They're all episodes, big things and events that happen in our lives.
And, right now?...This is an episode..well to me it is. It isn't like graduating or buy your first car..but. It's big enough to me to be added to my series.
We turn our heads at each other and smile.
"February?" I whisper.
"Yeah, Alex."
"I change my mind."
"On what?" he looks at me in confusion.
"You remember when you asked me, 'if I could go anywhere, where would I go?'"
He nods and bites his lip.
"Well..If I could go anywhere...I'd go there with you.."
He smiles big and blushes slightly.
"I wouldn't have it any other way." he replies, looking back up into the star-filled sky.
