Slash and jealousy

All his life Slash had been jealous. Even when he was a mere pet named Spike, he was jealous. 

Raphael is the most amazing person-er, turtle he had ever met. And he may sound biased because he was once the red clad turtle's pet, but he actually really thought he was the best out there. 

He had quite enjoyed being in a small turtle body, being just a little pet, but he never really thought it was quite enough. He was the one Raphael could talk about his thoughts and feeling to, and it made him sad that he could never talk back or reach out to him in any other way than chewing on his leaf.

Over the years, Raphael had gotten bigger, more angry, and he had much more to talk about with Spike. But he was still perfect in is eyes. 

He talked about his brothers, how much they annoyed him, how he wished he was fighting evil alone. 

And yet, he always came back to them. No matter how much they annoyed him he still loved them. Why?

That question never left Spike's mind. Why?

They ruined it for his Raphael, they always made things worse for him. Why are they still the ones who get Raph's affection? 

Shouldn't he, Spike, who's always there to listen and be there for him, be the one who deserves all that love?

Sure, he got the eventual pat on his shell and Raphael always made sure that he got his fair share of leaves to chew on, but it still left him jealous. 

Those 'brothers' of his never appreciated him like they should. They're only in his way.

That's why, when the mutagen canister crashed in Raphael's room that faithful day, he decided to take his chance. 

Now he could communicate with Raphael, finally he could form an actual friendship with him, and not a pet-owner relationship. This was his chance to finally get rid of the dead weight. He and Raphael would be the ultimate team. 

Smirking to himself as he heard Raphael mumbling to himself outside his bedroom, he got ready to have the most important talk of his life. (And, well, technically his first too.)

also, sorry if I have some grammar mistake sand stuff in my chapters, I have about the same attention span as Mikey so when I have an idea I quickly write it down or else I just leave it to rot. and afterwards I'm just so excited to show everyone so I never really read through for any mistakes hehe
