Apritello- Love letters

aghhh I just LOVE apritello so muchhh, it's my tmnt otp! they're so cute together I can't 

this one may be a bit shorter than usual, hope that's okay! (I wrote the poem myself, please don't judge lmao)

anyway, on to the storyyyy

Between having four mutated turtles as her friends and training with a rat master to be a kunoichi, nothing much happened in April's life. Despite her wacky adventures in the night she still went to school in the day. That meant homework and extra studies. 

Sighing deeply, April sat down at her desk and picked up her bag to search for the geography book. But instead of finding the old, thick book she found a letter. 

'Who put this letter here?' she thought, a bit put off by the fact that someone must have put it there when she wasn't looking. 'Kind of creepy..' echoed through her head. 

However when she picked up the envelope and opened it, she was pleasantly surprised. 

The letter had a light pink color, with tiny hearts all over it (the hearts were clearly drawn on by the person themselves, considering the contrast between light pink and black ink). It was a cute design, she had to admit. 

The inside was even more beautiful though, even if it had no hearts inside. The words written were just about drooping with love and admiration. 

She read it out loud;

If the sun shines bright, then you shine brighter. 

If the stars are pretty, then you are even prettier. 

If the universe is infinite, then my love for you is even bigger. 

It was very short, and it seemed to have been scribbled down fast, as if the person was in a hurry when they wrote it. But when April had read the small poem over and over again for about 20 times, she was smiling so big her cheeks hurt. 

'Who could have written this.. for ME?' she asked herself in her head, puzzled. 

The homework would have to wait, she decided. For now it was more important to find out who could have written the letter. 

Hmm.. but who could have? 

She wrote down possible people that could have made the letter for her, starting with Casey. 

He was always hitting on her, and she knew he had feelings for her.. but he really didn't seem to be the person to take time to write love letters.  Besides, he had hockey practice this afternoon and they barely saw each other in the halls. There couldn't have been time for him to put it in her bag. 

She crossed his name, and moved on. 

Could it be... Irma? She spent tons of time with her every day, it would be very easy for her to slip in a letter when April wasn't looking. 

But then again, she had never expressed any traction towards other girls, so her name was crossed too. 

'Who the heck could it be?' she wondered, frustrated. 

April could only think of one other person, and it made her blush from head to toe. Could it be.. Donatello? 

She had been spending an awful lot of time with the turtles recently, especially Donnie. He often helped her with her homework and they spent evening just talking and having fun. She was also aware he had feelings for her. 

The idea of Donatello writing a special letter just for her caused her to almost squeal out loud. Lately she had started gaining a huge crush on Donnie as well, but she was unsure if he still felt the same way towards her or if the feelings had gotten dropped. 

It made sense too. He could have slipped it in when she was there last night, she must have just not noticed it until now. The messy handwriting was typical of Donnie too. 

April was now blushing furiously, and she was hurriedly putting on her jacket again and sneakers, getting ready to go into the sewers. With the letter in one hand and a huge smile on her face, she went down into the manhole and through the endless tunnels. 

'Oh Donatello, you're going to have one good night ahead of you..' she smirked. 

yeesh got a bit too sexy there at the end, eh April? haha.
