Raphael x reader- Bonding

this is my first time writing a character x reader fanfic so please be gentle on my soul ;-;

also this works for both girls and guys to read :D

You were furious, your brothers had pissed you off AGAIN. They really got on your nerves.  At least you had someone you could call when you needed comforting, your friend Raphael.

You guys had accidentally met after he had gotten to the topside by himself and being the hothead he is, he was thrashing around and yelling out curse words. Of course you had to check it out, and ever since then you guys had been friends. It was nice to have someone to complain about annoying brothers with. 

You would probably never admit it to anyone, but you had a huge crush on him. Was it wrong for a human to love a turtle? You've never felt this strongly for anyone else in your life. Just thinking about him made you blush slightly. 

You called him, hoping it was late enough for him to be done with patrol for the night. Three beeps were heard before he answered.

"Hey" his voice was a bit gruff.

"Can you come to my rooftop? I need someone to talk to.." you asked him, really wishing he would agree to meeting up.

It was silent for a few seconds, but you could hear he was talking to someone and had put the phone down. 

"Yeah, I'll be right over." he said and you could almost hear that he was smiling. That made you smile yourself.

"Seeya" you ended the call and waited excitedly. Almost all anger you had felt earlier was already seeping out of you.

After about 5 minutes you felt a small shift in the air and you smiled. Raphael was a highly trained ninja but you still knew when he was near.

"Ugh finally! I was starting to think you got beat up by some purple dragons on the way or something.." you teased, and you heard a low chuckle in return behind you.

"Me being beat up by the purple dragons?" he scoffed, "hell no."

He was now standing in front of you, a smirk on his face. He was just too handsome for his own good. 

You sat down on the edge of the building, and he did the same. You two were sitting pretty close to each other, your shoulders barely touching. You were feeling a bit more fidgety than usual for some reason. 

"So, you wanted to talk about something?" he asked, a more serious look on his face. Oh how hot he looked when he was serious! You blushed.

"Oh.. right. It's just my brothers again, they keep getting on my nerves. They just don't understand." you sighed deeply. You loved your brothers but sometimes you wish they could see things from your perspective.

Raphael looked deep into your eyes, knowing your struggles.

"Yeah, I know about that alright." he said as he cast his gaze down on the city again. His eyes reflected the city lights beautifully.

You leaned a bit against him, hoping he wouldn't notice. But being the ninja he is, he definitely did. He wouldn't ruin it for you though (and honestly, he liked it.)

"I'm happy I have you at least. If I didn't know you I would probably have gone crazy by now." you giggled.

That made him chuckle and he teased you, "As if you haven't ALREADY gone crazy."

You stuck out your tongue at him, and a faint blush coated his cheeks.

'Is there a chance he could ever like me back?' you wondered. You really hoped he would.

'If I told him.. would it make us drift apart or make us closer?' you pondered on it for a bit, until you came to a conclusion.

"Raphael.. there is something I have to tell you." you began.

He put his full focus on you, his eyes deep and welcoming.

"What is it?" he asked ver softly, almost so soft you couldn't hear it.

"I'm.."

BOOM CLIFFHANGER MWAHAHAH

do you like it? it was a little bit rushed but I like it. I think it went pretty good, considering I've never written a x reader story before.
