opinions on tmnt characters

this is technically not a chapter but here are my opinions on tmnt characters. I've always wanted to do this hehe

all the characters are from the 2012 universe

this won't be all the characters because that would take soooo long, so these are just the ones that come to my head hahah

Leonardo: he's a great leader and is personality is very complex., which is something I like. I love how he's serious when he needs to be but he can also behave like a regular teenager. I absolutely adore his love for the show 'space heroes'. the only downside is his really bad luck in women lol. I love his relationship with splinter too 

Donatello: my second favorite character, he's just so damn adorable. I hate to see him being underrated and people thinking he's just the 'nerd'. He's really badass too, he's saved their asses more than any other character. And his crush on April adds an extra layer to his character and he's just the cutest when he's flustered 

Raphael: he's a difficult character, either you love him or you don't. I personally love him, like all the turtles, because he's grown so much during the series. At first he was controlled by his anger, wanting everything to be his way or the hard way. But he has really grown and he has gotten to know himself better, he's just a cute turtle with a short temper <3 I really like that he has a soft side too, his love for spike and later on choppy is just amazing and makes me squeal every time hahah

Michelangelo: ohhh yeah my favorite character of the whole franchise! he is just so fantastic and amazing. He's so funny and cute, his innocence really giving off the feel of him being the baby brother. I love that no matter what happens he manages to be optimistic, and even if he messes something up it's never with bad intensions. He really has a heart of gold, and without him the team wouldn't be the same. I also like how he can get serious quickly, and he'd do anything for his friends and family.

Splinter: I like him, he's gotten on my nerves sometimes and I think he can be too strict, but at the end of the day he's a really good father to the turtles. he cares deeply about them and one of my favorite episodes in all 5 seasons is "lone rat and cubs" where they show how they all got to where they are now. It shows that no matter what he loves all his sons. And also his fighting skills are fantastic!

April: I love her, she's probably my 3rd favorite character. She fits so well with he boys and I can totally understand  why Donnie has a crush on her lmao. Although I like her a tiny bit more in the earlier seasons, I still like how she expands her powers and becomes an even more skilled kunoichi. Her relationship with her dad is heartwarming and it was so sad when they found out her 'mother' was actually a monster in the farmhouse. She's been through a lot but she's so strong and I love her for that.

Casey Jones: ah Casey, the typical jock. He's pretty impulsive and can get angry easily, similar to Raphael, which makes them turn into unlikely friends. I quite like Casey, he's funny and I like how confident he is in himself. But I just wish he wasn't so onto April all the time, not just because I'm an apritello shipper but because it's sometimes full on creepy. Either way I like him, and I really liked the episodes with him in the farmhouse.

Shredder: I hate his guts for what he's done, but he's still an interesting character. The things he did was unforgivable but the history behind it brings a lot more depth to his character. His 'love' for Tang Shen was nothing but obsessive and creepy behavior. When he was ready to kill Karai, someone he had raised from infancy, it really showed how he truly was. He makes me sick to my stomach, but as I said, his character is very interesting. And he's really the best villain in the whole story.

Karai: she's horrible. At first I hated her. I hated how Leonardo had a crush on her, and I still do. She was just an overall really horrible person and she had no sympathy for anyone. I was kind of happy when she turned into a snake lol. I don't hate her as much now but I still find her annoying and I just can't believe they all let her get close to them all so quickly. She will never ever be a good character to me.

Timothy/pulverizer: he's a cute guy, but he was just too naive. After his mutation I felt really bad for him, even though it was his own fault. He was stupid but really kind and idolized the turtles, making his 'death' even sadder. 

Baxter Stockman: I like him! Not because he's an enemy of the turtles, but because he's smart and funny. I really liked the first episode he appeared in. His inventions are just a great as Donnie's and it really adds a bit of spice into it. It's nice to have some smart characters in the series, except for Donatello.

Ice cream kitty: lol I love her! she's so cute. And I don't know if you've noticed but my whole account kind of exists because of her lmao, my name gives it away. She's a great ally and has helped out several times, she's awesome

Renet: she's so damn cute!! I love how quirky and clumsy she is, I think she's perfect for Michelangelo, even though there is quite a .. ahem.. age difference. She's just a genuinely nice character and I love the episode 'turtles in time'.

Mona lisa: she's fine, I think they could have made her more interesting. She's just a super basic character, she has no real personality and her design is kinda meh. It's cool that she's a great fighter and that Raphael gets a crush on her. but I just think they could have expanded her character more
