Movie night

some fluffy apritello because it's honestly the cutest ship in the whole franchise! and they deserve all the love, and also because I feel guilty for writing the first apritello fanfic so angsty lolol. have this as a peace offering  <33

No one's POV

Donatello was fidgeting, he couldn't concentrate at all on his latest invention. It was already nearing 5 pm, he might as well be done for the day. Having some pizza also sounded good he deemed as he heard Raphael call out "pizza's here!". 

'Better get there quickly or else Mikey will leave none for the rest of us' he thought with a smile on his lips, he learned that one the hard way. 

He came in the living room and got greeted by his brothers.

"What a surprise to see donnie actually come in time to dinner.. don't you have some nerdy things to work on?" teased Raphael. Donatello rolled his eyes and muttered "very funny, Raph."

Space heroes was playing with loud volume on the family tv, Leonardo being completely absorbed in it, he barely had time to eat his pizza. 

Chewing slowly on his own pizza, Donatello spoke up nervously.

"Guys.. I asked April come here tonight" 

The other three turtles looked at him with raised brows before Mikey answered "dude, isn't she already here like every night anyway?"

Donatello put down his pizza slice and rubbed his neck, an embarrassed smile plastered on his lips. "Yeah well.. I kinda.. asked her on a date" he closed his eyes, he wasn't sure how his brothers would react.

He heard Leonardo scoff as he went back to watching his favourite show of all time, but not before saying "well finally.. about time." 

Donatello was beyond embarrassed at this point, and he decided he should just continue eating his pizza slice. 

After they were all done with their pizza and everyone was going their separate ways Raphael walked up to him.

 "Dude.. I know this means alot to you. You're pretty sadorable with your crush on her, I pity you man, but I care about you too. I'll keep the guys busy on the rooftops so you can be alone with her tonight. But then you have to do a favor for me, got it?" his usual hotheaded brother told him, in an unusually soft voice. 

Donatello's dark brown eyes softened and he smiled at his shorter brother. 

"Thanks a lot Raph, I owe you one." Receiving a curt nod in return, his sai wielding brother quickly went to his room.

2 hours later 

"hey D! We're going on patrol, have fun with your girlfriendddd" yelled Mikey before the three of them ran off, excited for what's about to come. 

Donatello rolled his eyes, Michelangelo really wouldn't let it go. But, it would be nice to have April as a girlfriend, he thought. She was the most amazing girl he had ever met. (And, kind of, the only girl he had ever met. His point still stands.)

'Oh man, i have to hurry up, April's coming in 5 minutes!' he thought as he rushed int he kitchen to make popcorn.

Now.. how did Mikey do it?

He assumed he did them in the microwave.. but for how long exactly?

He guessed and put it to 6 minutes, hoping he was right. maybe he should have asked Mikey for help earlier.
