Celaena felt drained completely. Going back to the apartment had been a mistake, it reminded her too much of Sam. Sam. Celaena missed him so much. Chaol was looking at her; a quizzing look on his face. Celaena looked away, before getting up and leaving the room. "We should get some sleep." She called over her shoulder, flatly. Ok was all Chaol had to say. Celaena couldn't sleep in her old bedroom so she brought some blankets into the living room and she and Chaol crashed out in the chairs. But Celaena still couldn't sleep and so spent the night watching the river on it's never ending journey as Chaol snores filled the room.

Dawn was just approaching when Chaol tried to wake Celaena up. She groaned audibly and rolled over, ignoring him. "Celaena!" Chaol hissed, "wake up!" Celaena grunted: "No."

"Well, then I guess we'll have to go old school." Replied Chaol, grinning like an imp. Celaena rolled to face him and arched her eye brows: "old school?"

"You won't like it." Said Chaol walking out of the room, grinning from ear to ear. Celaena grunted again and listened to what he was doing. Chaol went into the kitchen and started to run the tap, tea, please let it be tea, Celanea prayed, knowing that she had now such luck. After much waiting Chaol reappeared carrying a bowl, the water inside it slouching around.

"Chaol..." Celaena warned, "don't you even think about-"

But she was cut off as Chaol dumped the entire contents of the bowl onto Celaena's head.

"-it." Celaena finished as the water cascaded down her back, soaking her to the bone.

"You will pay for that my friend." Said Celaena as Chaol burst out laughing, but she was already laughing too.

Celaena quickly got changed, while Chaol tried to make breakfast. The plan was that they would try to hire a boat to Nehemia's homeland, but Chaol had some difficulty trying to get one. However he had managed to get a merchant to take them up stream, however if they wanted to catch his boat they would have to be up early. Celaena's least favourite subject. However if that meant getting out of this apartment, Celaena would go gladly.

The apartment door shut with a definite click and Celaena let out a breath she didn't relies she'd been holding. Chaol was assorting through his many concealed weapons and muttering to himself as he went over the plan they had made during breakfast. Celaena chuckled and Chaol raised his eye brow at her. "We're only getting a boat!" She giggled and Chaol sighed, dragging her down the street.

As they approached the docks, Celaena schooled her face to neutral. She marvelled at how much had changed since she had been here and allowed herself a small pleasure time. Carefully she linked arms with Chaol and watched as he blushed the colour of a tomato. Chaol steered them towards a small, grubby boat and Celaena wrinkled her nose in disgust. She certain wouldn't have chosen this boat. She looked enviously at the richly dressed men and woman climbing onto the exquisite looking boat and sighed- this tiny little thing would have to do. A merchant, who looked just like his boat, came forward to welcome them on board- his piggy little eyes searching for their money bag: "Ah, my customers! Welcome aboard! My name is Bill Bridge, and I'll be your captain for today."
