Chapter 5

Samantha pleaded with me to accompany her to the salon.
She wanted to pierce her tongue and ear so she figured i would be a great motivator since i have an extra piercing on my ear.

"You don't look too good.what's wrong?"She asked me as I got into the passenger seat of her car

"Uhm,nothing.i..I'm fine."I stuttered

"Karen I'm not moving this car till you spill." She insisted

"It's Paul.i haven't heard from him for sometime.he is not returning my calls."

"Why?did you fight with him?"

"No."

"Why don't you go over to his house."She suggested

"I have.he's not home."

"Maybe he's very busy.keep trying to reach him,he'll come around."She said

"Erica said she hasn't heard from him either.i'm really worried."

"Relax he'll come around okay."

On our way back from the salon i called Paul again and he finally answered on the third ring.

"Hello."I sighed relieved

"Hey babe,I can't talk right now.i'll come see you tomorrow evening."He quickly answered,hanging up on me

"He answered."I said to Sam excited

"See I told you not to get worried.he was probably very busy."

  *The next evening *

"What do you mean?I don't understand?"I asked as my eyes widened in shock

"Listen Karen all I'm trying to say is that i need sometime for me.You know how i feel about you,you're an awesome girl and we've been together for a few months now but i think it's best for us if we take sometime apart."Paul explained

"You don't know what's best for me Paul.What did i do wrong?I thought you loved me?"I asked as my eyes were now teary

"You didn't do anything wrong and i still love you but the truth is I'm moving back to Newyork and I'm never coming back."

"So you're breaking up with me because you're moving to Newyork?"

"I can't cope with a long distance relationship."He said

"So that's it?you're going to throw away all we've shared because you can't fucking deal with a long distance relationship huh?" I yelled

"Karen please I'm sorry.please understand."He pleaded

"You're unbelievably Paul...so that's why you've been avoiding me right?"

"Get out of my house this minute before i lose my mind."I growled as I opened the door for him and slammed it in his face without waiting for him to say another word.
