Nearly two months had passed since my son turned three.Within these few months; Valerie and i have been getting along well.I was also pretty close to Hailey but because of her lifestyle, i didn't really like to hangout with her.
Hailey and i have two different personalities that most times i wonder how she's best friends with Valerie. She's loud, doesn't have a decent appearance, loves to party and drink and she has more males friends than females.Asides that,she's really a sweet girl and she's fun to be with.
For someone of Valerie's social status,i didn't expect her to welcome me as a friend. She's a true definition of 'do not judge a book by it's cover'.
Spending some time with her,i got to know that she spent her childhood always indoors, with Hailey being her only friend due to their parent's relationship which also explains why she seems so closed off and uptight on the outside.
We visited the saloon together, had spa sessions together, lunch dates,shopping sprees and many more.We also had sleep overs on several occasions but it was mostly at my apartment because of my son.
The day she invited me to her house for a family dinner so i could meet her parents and fiancée, i couldn't go because that same day i got a distress call from home to inform me about my dad's illness.
On the other hand;my relationship or should i say friendship with Chase was blossoming.I had him over for dinner on several occasions and most times his nephew Ethan tagged along.From the moment Future met Ethan, he'd been charmed and they got along pretty well.
I've been a bit shy to admit that i was having a big crush on Chase.I was trying so hard to suppress it so it won't grow into feelings because i was still scared of getting emotionally attached to any man and Chase being a successful business tycoon in his early thirties was also another reason why i didn't want to see him as more than a friend.
I didn't see myself as someone he'd want to be with,considering our age difference and me being a single mom.
We're just friends and friends we shall remain.
