Karen's POV

It was a weekend. Just like every other weekend, Chase and I have been spending it together since we started dating officially. This weekend he was at my place with his nephew.

"I think you already added enough spice," I told him as I stirred the pot of chicken soup on the gas and tasted it.

"Tasty enough?" He asked me.

"Yes love. This is perfect."

He wiped his hands on the apron he was wearing and brought plates for me to dish out our food.

"You prepared the food so you should dish it out." I said, refusing to collect the plates from him.

"Come on Darling, you know I suck at that."

"But you're great at cooking huh?"

I took the plates from him and started dishing out the food.

I passed him a bowl of hot chicken soup. "Here's for-"

The door bell interrupted me and we starred at the other curiously.

"Expecting someone?" He asked me.

"Nope."

"Ordered something?"

"No."

"I'll go check who's at the door." He left the kitchen and I continued dishing out our food.

"Sweet heart your sister is here to see you." He hollowed from the living room.

My heart sank. Valerie and I haven't seen or spoken with each other in weeks. I was kind of avoiding her because I didn't have the courage to tell her the truth and I couldn't see her and pretend when I know deep down my heart I haven't been entirely honest with her.

"I'm coming." I shouted back, wondering why she was here.

"Long time no see kid sister." She smiled as she hugged me tightly, almost suffocating me.

"Yeah-uhmmm...I wasn't expecting you." I blurted out.

"I thought you've been avoiding me so I figured I should come visit you."

"What? No way. I've just been busy." I took off my apron and tossed it aside,"please have a seat."

"How long?"

"How long what?" I asked.

"How long have you been with Chase? I heard him call you sweetheart."

I turned to see if Chase was around but he was probably inside, busy with the boys and I blushed at that thought.
"Not too long Sis. How's the wedding preparation coming up?" I changed the topic.

"Everything is going well as planned. I came to see you about something."

So many things were on my mind about what she wanted to see me for. Should I use this opportunity and talk to her or should I let her go first?

"Listen Vee I really need to talk to you about something and-"

"Karen this is really important that's why-"

I interrupted her," I need to say this now Vee please."

She nodded for me to go ahead and I went on to tell her everything. I told her about Cameron and I in the past and about Future's paternity.
I watched her reaction all through and she didn't seem hurt or surprised. Could Cameron have told her himself?

"I already know all this that's why I came to talk to you and hear your version of the story." She told me.

"You're not angry or something?"

"I'd be a terrible lier if I say I'm not mad at both of you. I'm angry, hurt and I feel betrayed."

"I'm so sorry Sis, I'm such a terrible person for keeping this from you." I broke down into tears.

She came over to console me. "It's not your fault this happened so stop crying." She said.

"So what now?"

"No matter what, you're my half sister and Cameron is the love of my life. I love both of you and I can't stay mad at both of you for so long. I also love Future like my own son-"

"What are you trying to say?" I asked Valerie.

"All I'm saying is I forgive both of you."

"You're still getting married to him?"

"Of course,why shouldn't I?"

"Nothing."

She squeezed my shoulder, "We're one big family Sis. It doesn't matter what has happened, after all you've given him what I can't."

Did I just hear her right?

"I've got to go Sis. Take care of yourself and I look forward to seeing you at my wedding." She got up and headed for the door.

"Take care too." I opened the door for her and shut it behind her after she left.

What did she mean by I've given him what she can't?
