Chapter 13
Without actually realising I did it, I seemed to have loosely based the new character in this story, Kenzie, off Ksenia Solo's character from Lost Girl (Kenzi Malikov). I say 'loosely' because she's not intentionally based off her but if you wanted a physical imagine of Kenzie, she would be a pretty good candidate :)
Amy was the first to wake. Her arm was still wrapped around her best friend. She smiled, burring her face into Karma's hair, the moment was perfect and she never wanted to move from that spot.
"Good morning," she heard Karma say sleepily.
"Morning," Amy quickly untangled herself from the other girl.
Karma rolled over to face Amy, her eyes still closed. Their noses were so close to touching that Amy could feel Karma's breath on her cheek. She smiled to herself. It was perfect, Karma was perfect.
"Amy," Karma mumbled without opening her eyes.
"Mmm?" Amy replied.
"Is that your phone?" Karma said.
Amy hadn't even heard her phone buzzing in the background, her focus had been on Karma. It was on silent but it was vibrating on the table where she had left it the night before. Amy groaned and climbed out of bed. She picked up her phone and read the first message, well first 5 messages. They were all from Shane.
"Omg."
"OMG! OMG!"
"Amy have u seen it?"
"Girl, what did u do??"
"Check you phone dammit!"
Amy walked back into the bedroom with a confused look on her face.
"Who was it?" Karma mumbled, she still hadn't fully woken up yet.
"Shane's freaking out about something," Amy bushed it off.
She exited out of her messages and noticed her twitter icon had 1000s of notifications.
"Oh my god," Amy said, clicking on the app.
She scrolled through a few of the tweets she'd been tagged in. Most of them consisted of a lot of emojis and exclamation points all pertaining to the video she had uploaded the night before.
"Oh my god," Amy said again as she found the video on YouTube and saw how many views it had.
"What?" Karma asked, rubbing her eyes.
"Huh? Oh nothing, I'll show you later," Amy said, she had to tell Karma what she did but she had to do it delicately.
Karma wasn't entirely satisfied with that response but it was too early in the morning for her to argue. Amy sat down on the bed and started typing her reply to Shane. She couldn't have him telling Karma before she got a chance to. In that moment, Amy was grateful Karma had broken her phone.
"I don't have any classes today, do you wanna hang?" Amy said. She actually had a lecture that morning but she could watch it online another time, she didn't want to leave Karma alone at all that day with social media blowing up in their faces.
"Mmm," Karma responded sluggishly.
"Come on," Amy laughed, gently shaking Karma awake.
Karma groaned and lashed out an arm in the hope of connecting it with a part of Amy. Amy dodged and she missed her completely. Karma realised she'd have to look at her to even have a hope. She opened her eyes and launched herself across at Amy, half pinning her to the bed with one hand and using her free one to tickle the blonde.
