Thanks, yous are truly the best. <3

Langley knocked gently on the door to the apartment. He didn't have to wait long before a distressed Amy opened it and ushered him inside.

"Detective Langley, this is Shane and Pablo, they were suppose to be meeting Karma down stairs before she-," Amy didn't finish her sentence but Langley understood what she was saying.

He nodded and shook hands with both men before pulling out his notebook and turning back to Amy.

"Tell me everything you know," he said, taking his favourite pen out of his jacket pocket.

"Karma was meant to meet them at about 8:30," Amy said, indicating to Shane and his boyfriend who were standing almost in the lounge room.

"And she never showed?" Langley asked, turning to Shane and Pablo.

"We were running 5 or 10 minutes late. When we got here and she wasn't waiting, we just assumed she was upstairs," Pablo explained.

"Have you noticed anyone hanging around in the past few weeks?" Langley asked, turning his attention to Amy again, "someone in the background who you may or may not know."

Amy took a moment to think and then shook her head.

"You may have noticed them but not thought about them as being a threat," Langley continued, "did you frequent any places in particular?"

"We haven't been out of the apartment enough to frequent anywhere," Amy explained, "Karma has trouble walking long distances so we stayed home and watched Netflix."

"What about when you are at school? Did Karma ever have any concerns about being alone? Did she notice anyone or anything that made her feel unsafe?" Langley was scribbling something in his notebook as he spoke.

"Not that she told me," Amy said in a quiet voice.

"Ok, how about before the accident?" The detective asked.

"I've told you already," Amy sniffed, tears forming in her eyes, "everybody loves Karma."

"Can you think of anything at all that seemed out of the ordinary," Langley asked one last question, he could tell she wasn't coping.

Amy was feeling a little light headed as she walked over to one of the stools at the kitchen bench. She sat down before she fell down and took a deep breath. She closed her eyes, trying to focus.

"Liam," Amy said, her eyes still closed.

"Liam?" Langley and Shane both said in unison.

"He seemed angry the last time I saw him," Amy explained, "Karma and I were holding hands and he noticed, he practically slammed the door off its hinges."

Langley scribbled some more in his notebook. He opened his mouth to speak but Amy spoke before he could.

"She just found her voice and now she's out there, alone," Amy wimped, "she doesn't like sleeping alone."

Her voice was cracking, she knew she wasn't making much sense anymore but nothing was making sense anymore.

Langley walked over to her and placed his hand on her shoulder comfortingly.

"I'll find her, I promise," he said seriously.

"Please, don't make promises you can't keep," Amy said which surprised him.
