“Getting To Know Each Other”

Khiert Ghil POV:

“Hi, Ilarian!” masigla kong bati sakanya.

“Wala” sagot niya

“Would you mind if I join you?” tanong ko

“No. Not at all” sagot niya

Itong Canteen, isang Cafeteria, at isang Karenderya. Biro lang. Isang Canteen at dalawang Cafeteria ang meron dito.

“Ako na ang oorder” sabi ko

“Okay, thankyou” wika niya tsaka ngumiti

Oh, my that smile. My heart is already captured by that smile.

“Parang hindi kita napapansin last year? Are you a transferee?” tanong ko sa gitna ng pagkain namin

“Ah, yes. Kalilipat lang kasi namin dun sa village. Galing kaming US” sagot niya

“May lahi ka?” biglang tanong ko. Nagulat siya at nagtaka “Kasi, by your eyes. Its blue, most of foreigners have a blue eyes”

“Ah, that...” panimula niya “My mother was a pure Italian while my father was a pure Spanish”

“Means, wala kang dugong Pilipino?” tumango siya “But, how come na napunta kayo dito sa Pinas. And you're too fluent in our language”

“My mom was a adopted daughter of a two Filipinos who are based in US. Mom told me that they always bring her here at the Philippines” wika niya “I still remember how she told us how beautiful Philippine is with her proud voice”

“Sort of...” wika niya “My nunny was a Filipino”

“Oh, is that so?” tanong ko “Well, I'll wont be surprise if you're also know how to speak spanish” natatawa kong wika

Tumawa siya. Shit! “Actually, hindi ako marunong magspanish”

“Really?” I said with a sound of disbelief

“Yeah. My father never taught me” she said

“So, gotto go?” wika niya “Bye”

“What the hell, John?!” sigaw ko

“Putsa, pre! Iniwan mo kami!” kunwari pa siyang natatampo

“Sorry. Hehe” wika ko nalang
