Tuesday, September 4th,
The day was here, no longer was it 3, 2, 1 days away, but here, now!
My outfit was perfect! A tan knitted, flowy, tank top, that you can't even understand how cute it is without seeing it. My jeggings, and my black, buckle boots. I clipped my hair up and went quickly on the computer.
My mom had said that she would drive me, but at the last moment she said we had to take the bus! I had never, ever, ever in this life-time, taken the bus on the first day of school. I was nervous, even through I knew that Summer, one of my BFF's would be on the bus. Our school has 4 buses, and 2 of my 5 BFF's take the bus, but only Summer is on my bus, Mary isn't, she is on another bus (Insert sad face here).
My brother was totally rushing me, making my forget my water bottle, there is a reason Savannah calls me a mermaid, I literally get antsy if I don't drink enough water. And I love, love, love, water, it is like pure, clear, liquid gold, without all the metal, and um, metal-y stuff. Whatever, but in the end it was my brother that was taking all the time, huff!
On the bus, Summer and I came up with a system, there are 5 grade 8's on our bus, and the back 2 seats are singles, so everyday she gets it in the morning and I get it at night, then we switch every month. But either way, we each get our own seat, as we are the only grade 8 girls.
When we arrived at the school, Summer joined me when I went to return my French Horn after having it all summer. I was surprised that our new music teacher was male, but, I don't really care since he plays the French Horn as well! I have never met anyone else other then the kids at my school, who plays the French Horn.
Once we were done, Summer and I went out to the yard where we ran to see our friends, Mary and Jenna. I hadn't seen them all summer, and I was super happy. Savannah was there, as well as Lexi, but I had seen both of them over the summer, so I wasn't as excited. We exchanged hugs then started walking. We didn't see any signs along the walls to tell use which class we were in, so that meant that we would have our names called out by the teachers.
After about 2 minutes of talking, we saw one of the 7/8 teachers, Mr Arves, we quickly ran up, but he wasn't calling out names, he just held up the sheet so we could see. I looked down the list and saw my name, but I wasn't about to cry or anything, since I heard Jenna call out, "Mary you're in his class!" she sounded heartbroken, and I knew why; she wasn't in his class. She kept checking while Lexi, Mary, Summer and I all hugged, I was so, so, so, happy. I hadn't been in the same class as Mary or Summer, since grade 5, when I was moved out of it, and Jenna was put into it.
"I'm not in his class," I heard Jenna say. Mary, tried to make her feel better, but Jenna wasn't hearing any of it, I am sure all she heard was, "We are in the same class and you're not!"
Mr Arves called us in and the kids in his class all followed. I was able to pin point the trouble makers a mile away, Jarad, the funny one that interrupts, Cameron, who is annoying, and Dylan. What can I even say about Dylan, his parents are friends with mine, and as I result, I tend to hang out with him more then most girls hang with guys that aren't their boyfriends. But we are not dating, though all my friends think we should, which Mary says is because we are so much alike.
The only think alike about us is that we are both smart, sarcastic, athletic, and..... never mind, you should just ignore my last statement.
At least, Evan K isn't in my class. Him, Dylan and me were the smartest kids in our class last year, I can't say anything about the other classes, but, I pride myself on being one of the smartest kids going into grade 8 this year. Both Evan and Dylan think that they are smarter then me, even though I get the same grade's, if not grades better then them!
We also got 2 new kids, 1 that Jenna has taken a fancy too, even though she isn't aloud to date, and Korey, well, he's in grade 8 that's all I can say.
When we were in the classroom we got to pick where we wanted to sit, all the desks were set up in doubles, but then like a miracle, we saw a row of 3, we went over, and Summer took the middle. She knew that Mary wanted to sit in the middle so we could talk, and we were right to, because when ever we could, Mary and I talked about Wattpad, which confused Summer a lot. She doesn't like reading or writing which is why I sometimes wonder why I am her friend.
We also talked about the reasons we might have to kill Jenna. I said if she was in Mr Kews class I would, and Mary said if Adam her crush, was in Jenna's class, then Mary would kill her. Adam was going to be in our class, but he read wrong, obviously. Its kind of funny, when Lexi said she would help, she sounded way to enthusiastic, I don't know what to think.
The day went by in a burst of wind, we had some easy math, which I enjoyed very much. We had an indoor recess, Mary, Lexi, and I talked about Wattpad. After we had an assembly, where we found out that Jenna is in Mrs Kipes class (At least I don't have to kill her), and that Adam is in Mr Kews class, not Jenna's (so Mary doesn't have to kill her either). We then had gym, at lunch we had nothing to talk about but, I love talking so I talked a bunch, had to make sure my friends were caught up on my life, since they didn't want to share theirs. We even had a half indoor, half outdoor recess, because of the stupid rain.
After recess we had music, our new music teacher, Mr Wechmen, was super nice, and treated us like grown-up's, like the teacher I had last year. We didn't get to play our instruments though, he said the same thing our music teacher said last year; no instruments the first week. But at least it was just easy stuff, just a survey, then we got to go into groups and do a fun Van-Diagram. Lexi, Mary and I were in the group, Summer was not happy. Pay back for not letting me sit next to Mary!
Last recess was also an indoor, which meant we didn't get to see Jenna, I feel sorry for my brother, he's in the same class as her. I shudder at the thought, they literally hate each other.
French was after last recess, and it was fun, we just talked the whole time, Madame is a great French teacher, Mary and I were joking that in Mrs Kipes French class you have to speak all French, no English, and Jenna hates French. Mary and Summer know this because they were in her class last year. We are doing good units in French, the first one is a amusement park unit and the second one is a fairy tale unit, and the end task is to write your own fairy tale in French!
We then had Spelling, it was simple but we still had it for homework. We got our planners and Mr Arves went through the rules and such, probably for the boys, and the girls that always wear spaghetti straps and short, shorts. I didn't need the rules read to me, but at least I got to read most of the rules. I think he was impressed by my reading!
The bus on the way back was good, I got the back and Summer and I talked about, well, stuff. At least she didn't decide to change her mind and just take it, which is also something that Summer would do.
When I got home I told my mom about today, and I swear I must have sounded like a kid on Christmas. My mom told me that the teachers could still change the classes around, which is like a horror thing for me, I am not being moved out of a class with my friends, for the second time!
I went on the computer and after dinner I finished my homework. It was so, so, easy! Then I went to my room and watched the last episode of Merlin, which is the show I watched yesterday. (Insert sad face here), Now I have to go get the second season, I really hope they have it at the library!
I cleaned my room a bit, as well as read and wrote in my journal.
At 10:00, my parents, my parents friends Amy, and I watched another one of my favorite shows on TV, "Opening Act". All about singing and music, a show for my soul!
