Tuesday, October 16th,

I just want to say that people who annoy me, annoy me! In gym today we were playing this dodge ball, almost bowling type game, and we were losing bad, this little girl who was blocking let in, like, 4 shots and made the balls hit us, and when we switched I said, "We have to block the ball, and get points," but that little girl turned around and said, "It doesn't mater,"

Yes it does! When you are letting your team down by standing there and not putting any effort- at all I must say- you should a) try harder, or b) don't guard anymore. Luckily after 2 rounds she stepped down and Ricky and I blocked. We did a good job, but everyone could tell which team was going to win, since they only let one and a half throw. (I say one and a half because one of them didn't throw that much and because he's not a very good shot). Summer was on the same time, all she was doing was cowering from the ball, but blocking, but it wasn't really blocking because nobody would even try to do for that team because they knew they would get down next.

I was not impressed.

Well at last recess Jenna, Summer, Savannah and I were all sitting against the school wall, because really, what else could we do? While we were sitting there we looked over and saw a girl sitting on the tarmac, she was reading, but we didn't know if she wanted to be or not. We discussed this... well, Jenna and I did, Summer didn't seem so keen, neither did Savannah.

We thought of all the options, that she wanted to just read and be alone, she was from the special class, meaning she might have had a learning disability, most likely, but Savannah has one so, there you go. We saw she looked alone, and it looked like she wanted to do something, we knew she had friends, we had seen her hanging with other girls in grade 6.

After much thought and consideration, we all went over and sat with her, she looked a little scared at first, but we all introduced ourselves and we started talking, if you hadn't figured out, Mary was sick and not at school today. We found out her name was Ginger, which I think is a pretty name, and that she is in grade 6. That was strange, she looked like a grade 8, or a grade 7 at the least. But she was nice, and I have a friend in grade 6 anyways (remember Dylan's little sister Sydney?)

But of course, Savannah made it all a little awkward, like she normally does, by saying, "So... do you know what mental disorder you have?" You should have seen the looks on our faces, it wasn't funny, it was more like, totally embarrassed. We hadn't said she did have one, we said there was a chance she did. Even if she did have one, Savannah still shouldn't have brought it up because it is completely rude. This is what everyone said, in the order they said it:

Ginger, 'Um, no."

Me: "Savannah! That's rude, why would you even ask that?!?!?" (Me turning into her mom here, which I'm not, but that's how it sometimes feels).

Jenna: "Savannah!"

Savannah: "It's not rude, its a good conversation starter."

Jenna/Me: "No its not!"

Last time I checked, we had been having a conversation before Savannah said that, after she did it kind of turned into an awkward silence, which was saved by the bell before it got a little too awkward.

We said goodbye to her, and left, Jenna was bouncing around like a ball saying she felt really good that we were friends with her, because she was all alone.

I will admit, it was weird, we hadn't invited anyone into our group since grade 5, when Jenna came to our school- but that is a tale for another day.
