Claire was driving to Owen's home – at the south of the island. The said house was simple sitting between a small cliff – a lake and a beach. When he wasn't taking care of his raptors – Owen Grady lived along with his 9-year-old foster daughter Maisie Lockwood – an Australian orphan whose grandfather died because of a heart attack and parents died in a car accident years earlier – far away from the noisy resort or employee village.

The car stopped next to his house consisting of a cabin and a trailer. Not far from here were fishing rods put upon the pontoon he built himself so he could catch some fish for his meals.

Claire – who was entirely dressed in white exited her car. Owen was cleaning his green motorbike – drinking some soda. He could hear Costarican music via his radio. Next to him was Maisie who immediately saw Claire. « Yeah – yeah – yeah ! This is Claire Dearing who came here with the only goal of making my foster daddy Owen some moral ! » Maisie said.

Owen turned to Maisie and smiled before nodding his head – meaning she was allowed to get inside and watch TV. He then stood leaving his stuff on the ground.

« Mr. Grady... », « OWEN ! », « Whatever. I came here to talk about the Raptor Territory. », « I see. It's Mr. Masrani who comes to the island to initiate the party and he doesn't even move his ass to meet me. », « We all know he doesn't like any delays. He wants it open for next year – Mr. Grady. », « Owen – Claire. OWEN. » Maisie yelled while watching TV. « The little girl's right. She's been my foster daughter for 5 years. So she knows » Owen said. « Don't play your little arrogant man game with me – Mr. Grady. You and Maisie know why you got hired and why she had to settle here. », « Claire – please wake up ! It's first time a human being is handling a dinosaur. It's not like if I was handling a dog or a dolphin. », « You are competent Owen. You normally should have fullfilled your mission here. Hoskins saw very promising results. », « Hoskins... Hoskins... Hoskin is only the head of security. He isn't animal handler ! », « You have Australian Army experience as dog handler as well as animal theme park experience. Let's talk about your reputation ! », « Claire. It's true I've been in the Australian Army and worked afterwards for marineland parks as well as circuses or zoos. But it's not birds or lions or dogs or dolphins. These are animals we're starting to know. », « I'm not denying your competencies or your reputation – Mr. Grady. But Masrani wants results. He wants to open it next year to be in advance compared to other corporations. » Claire said. « Claire – Owen and I want the visitors to see raptors. But they trust Owen – Barry and me. Nobody else, Maisie yelled coming out. If Masrani isn't happy – he will have to come and tell us. It ain't be his money or his temper that will make us accept. », « He will do anything to be on schedule. », « Claire – the kid's right. We have LIVING ANIMALS and not numbers on a sheet of paper. », « Yeah Owen. The only important thing here is render. », « What did you expect ? Working for Greenpeace ? », « He worked at numerous natural preserves in the past. But that animal park smells more like money. », « Maisie's right. Have a walk and see everything by yourself. It's the temple of business here. At Jurassic World you can drink a Martini while basking in the sun – get taken care of at the Hilton – light up girls in a night club – get tanned – play tennis or golf. It's a real beach resort now. Nobody cares about dinosaurs anymore ! », « If we go on that way – there's gonna be a strip club or a casino or a Wall-Mart or a Luna Park ! », « A strip club ? She's going a bit too far. About the other examples – we need facilities for everybody to enjoy during at least a week. », « Yeah but Maisie's right. We're very far from Hammond's dream to teach humility to people. At everytime you reveal a new attraction you invite trusts to sponsor it. Why not go to the end ? » Owen said. « Why not rename the species for example. Like Pepsisaurus ? Or Dinardosaurus ? Or Indominus ? Or Superglusaurus ? Or Tostinodon ? It's a good name – Tostinodon ! » Maisie finished accessing the wooden terrace. This obviously made Owen chuckle.

« Why do you both criticize that park whereas you respectively work and live here ? And why this slum with your foster daughter Crocodile Dundee ? » Claire asked.

Owen then caught up with Maisie while talking : « I was attracted to one thing – and one thing only Claire : challenge. After a whole life handling many species – I couldn't turn this opportunity down. And that slum as you call it is our home. But you're making efforts with my nickname. », « We have comfortable bungalows at the worker's village ! », « Yeah but Owen and I have all what's necessary here. Nature, and the sounds of the birds, and pelican flocks, and gulls, and Brachiosauruses singing in the pond and fish. Tonight our meal will be some trouts. ».

Owen and Maisie isolated themselves from the other employees and families of the park. This was why Owen was dubbed 'Crocodile Dundee'. Aside from their Australian origins – the two of them prefered to live far away from cities for social and personal reasons. Because of mankind breaking up with nature and society being more and more individualistic – they prefered to live in the wilderness. When they didn't settle in a town because of a mission – they would travel around the world. No climate or distance could stop their desire of adventure. Not even an island 200 kilometers away from Costa Rica.

« As you both feel it. », « I heard our new liaison agent with the UNO has arrived. », « You got it right. He would like to visit the raptor arena tomorrow. », « He may come. And about the torvosauruses ? », « We will watch more closely. », « If we were you – we would have called the US 11th Fleet to gas them and then burn their bodies. These animals are too dangerous. », « We can't afford to gas them only months to the opening of the attraction. Please don't involve us in your ethical and ecological debates. », « Owen's right. What will happen one day will be much worse than your employee's death. It's going to be chaos – because the consequences won't be limited to the area of Isla Nublar – as Ian Malcolm said. », « I don't want to talk about that guy and I gotta leave you to take my nephew and niece. We'll be talking about ethics later. », « Yeah and tell your boss that WE will decide when OUR animals will be ready for display. And my name's Owen and kid's one is Maisie. », « Have a nice party – Owen and Maisie. And see the two of you tomorrow ! » Claire said walking towards her car. « We intend to do so ! And thanks for calling us by our name ! » Owen loudly said.

While walking to her car – Claire looked at Owen and Maisie while shaking her head. 'What are we gonna do with these two ?' she thought.

Owen looked at his watch and told Maisie : « It's time to feed the girls ! ». The two then mounted Owen's motorbike.
