Chapter 25 : The Gyrospheres

The three children were sitting in the monorail heading to the valley of the gyrosphere. They were over the Gallimimus Valley. As Emma was talking with Karen – Gray and Maddy were watching Gallimimuses – brownish dinosaurs with feathers upon all their body. The only scally parts were the underbelly and the legs.

Then the two twelve year olds saw some armored vehicles rolling down a path in the valley. « Hey what you looking at ? », « Look down. ».

The vehicles then entered full speed in the jungle at the coordinates Hoskins told them. Hazmat-suit-wearing men then dismounted the vehicles and deployed a UAV to locate the dinosaurs. In the control room – everyone was listening to the park guards communicating and looking at the pictures provided by the said UAV. « They fortunately didn't touch to the ACU coms. », « To make us spectators of our helplessness. », « Come on. Mr. Hoskins' men are going to capture them. », « I bet they won't. ».

« Capture team – this is Hoskins. I see a tree moving. And it's not because of the wind. », « We see it, too ! ». The UAV flew towards the tree. Then a Torvosaurus jumped at it to grab it. The image was now scrambled and the visual transmission was cut short.

« We're gonna get them. » Hoskins said. « Don't be so sure my friend. » Owen replied.

Many visitors were now waiting and forming what was a huge crowd while waiting for a gyrosphere to get into the valley. While waiting – everybody was enjoying the panorama of the island as there was a viewing gallery to allow people to distract themselves while waiting for the gyrospheres.

Finally a gyrosphere exited the hangar. Emma and Gray as well as Maddy boarded it – prompting the latter to sit on Gray's lap. Obviously – teens were chuckling seeing this. « You dating or what ? » Emma asked. « You can say it. » Maddy jokingly answered.

The principle of riding a gyrosphere was simple : people boarded them via a door on the side of these hamster balls and one of the passengers could drive it with a kind of joystick. The rest was like a car rolling. Emma then began to drive the gyrosphere after having been told they had two hours to enjoy the ride. Maddy closed the door herself. As Emma drove the vehicle – the children stumbled upon a tree. « What is that tree doing here ? », « My father told me that he was with a man named Alan Grant, Aunt Lex and Jackie twenty-two years before. They hid there to flee from Gallimimuses being chased by a T-Rex. ».

As the children drove through the valley – they stumbled upon dinosaurs. There were Apatosauruses – Parasaurolophuses – Stegosauruses and even Triceratopses.

As the gyrosphere rolled towards a group of Apatosauruses – a curious Triceratops followed them until it turned back to its heard. « Bye my friend. » Gray said. There were also many other gyrospheres among the dinosaurs. The two siblings and Maddy kept exploring the valley.
