Chapter 53 : Meet the fleet

Barry drove the rest of the group the the now ruined landing pad near Jurassic Park. Nearby were two rotting Jeeps and the pad itself was now nothing more than a mix of concrete parts and dry mud. But a US Navy MH-60S Knighthawk helicopter was waiting for them here.

Once Barry parked his car – the group was welcomed by US military personel wearing CRBN suits. The crew – who was also dressed that way – turned the rotors on. A sailor inquired Barry. « Is anyone infected. », « Yes. The little boy's infected. We were all in contact with him. », « Good. You'll be put in containment. ».

The eleven-person group then boarded the helicoper – which took off – showing the Nublar waterfall.

The Navy helicopter flew over the landscape to link up with the ships where the sick persons were being healed and the other evacuees regrouped before a transfer to the mainland.

Everyone was now tired as no one had slept. And everyone was desperate – Owen and Maisie for leaving part of their family – Claire for failing to reason Masrani. But as Owen and Maisie looked outside – they smiled. « Why you so happy ? », « Isla Nublar is alive. », « Yeah. First time since 2005. ». Claire looked outside and saw herds of dinosaurs running in the wilderness and pterosaurs were now feading on living fish as they liked. Every animal was now living free.

The helicopter was soon linked up by other ones carrying evacuees towards the US 11th Fleet – which was waiting in the ocean not too far from the docks with orders to shelter the evacuees.

Then, the door gunner told through his radio to the pilot they would have to land on the USS Lexington. « Dust Storm to Helix 3-6, you're cleared to land, over. », « Dust Storm, this is 3-6, solid copy over. ».
