My hands were folded in front of me, sitting at the table alone while everyone else changed and prepped for the long day ahead. My bottle was filled to the brim, I double tied my shoe laces and tied them again, just in case. I moisturized, chalked my hands, stretched, tied my hair, yet so many scenarios in my head passed that could make everything go wrong.
I heard a knock at the door and turned to see Mr.Blade standing at the door, looking as tired as ever. He sat down a few chairs away from me and closed his eyes, probably falling asleep. I looked back down at the table and mustered up enough courage to speak up.
"I'm sorry Mr.Blade," I told him.
He nodded, his eyes still shut. I sighed, putting my head down on the table.
"Like, you don't have to forgive me," I started rambling. "I just need you to know that I had no intention of hurting you-"
"Look, Lizbeth," he started. "I know you had nothing to do with it. You just are not that type of person."
I opened my mouth to respond. "But I-"
He got up as soon as a few students walked in. They spoke a few "hello"s to him before taking a seat.
"Hey Fable," Remi said. "You're ready?"
I shook my head. "I'm never ready."
"Well, I would just fly away," she said. "But they have borders which limit how far I can fly so..."
I smiled. They chatted amongst themselves and I leaned forward, resting my eyes again.
How long until the competition starts?

Luna's POV
I finally managed to put on the last layers of the uniform before locking my locker and heading out. I jogged over to the meeting room for our class to find everyone was already there.
"Sorry I'm late guys," I spoke.
"Not an issue," said Flynn. "Not much is going on besides Fable napping."
I looked over at Fable who was hunched over, her arms covering her face. I giggled and took a seat by Olivia. My eyes went to Zachary, who looked uncomfortable shooting by Fable's sleeping state. I sighed and looked to Kodiak.
"Kody, I'm so nervous."
He punched my arm. "Stop it. This is going to be so much fun. I can't wait to beat people up legally."
"Yikes," I whispered. Then I looked back at Fable. "Someone should really wake her up."
"I don't think we should," Zachary spoke.
"I think we should," said Chance as he walked through the door. He had a bandage on his forehead and a scar running through his eyebrow.
He walked behind Fable and lifted the hair by her ear. Zach seemed a bit ticked off when he blew air which had Fable jolt up. She turned around with an annoyed expression. He smiled as everyone started to laugh but soon died down when they saw her dead expression.
"Yeah, laugh it up."
"Are you okay?" I asked. "You don't look too good."
"I'm fine," she grumbled. She leaned back and looked over at Chance.
"Are you okay?" I heard her say as everyone went back to their own business.
Chance nodded and took her hand. She followed him out of the room. Nobody really took note of it except for Kody, Zach, and I.
