[THIRD PERSON]

"Jinnie sweetie, you don't have to—"

His mom says, but is cut off by a nasty coughing fit. Jin hurries towards her bedside, handkerchief in hand and wipes her mouth before taking her cold hand in his.

"Of course I have to. It's your medicine. Besides, I have to go buy some more groceries for the week. I won't be long," Jin says, kissing her sweaty forehead gently. He reaches for the handtowel from the bedside table and wipes her forehead and face from sweat. Despite setting the house temperature to a comfortable degree, his mom still manages to sweat a lot and easily.

He grabs another towel and dampens it in the small basin full of water on the table before setting it on her forehead, smiling as his mom now looks more comfortable.

He kisses her cheek before setting off to the pharmacy and store, grabbing his wallet and house keys and stuffing them in his hoodie. He calmly walks down the street, waving at a few neighbors who are outside and stuffs his hands back in his pockets. The afternoons are becoming more chilly now as the seasons are starting to transition. A few more weeks and it will officially be winter.

He crosses the street and enters the grocery store, heading to the pharmacy section straight away after getting a cart. He waits in line and finally when it is his turn, his eyes widen as well as the pharmacist's.

"Oh hey, it's been a long time, huh?" He asks Jin, who nods in return. He hasn't seen his high school friend, Ken, since they graduated, both heading off to different universities. They lost contact despite their promises to talk to each other every day and stay friends. Technically they still are, but they've missed a lot of each other's lives throughout those two years. He didn't even know Ken became a pharmacist.

Ken heads off to the back and fetches the plastic pouch that has his mom's medicine in it. He scans them, all the while glancing at Jin every few seconds while Jin just awkwardly picks at his nails. Who knew they'd ever be this quiet with each other.

     "Total is $86.56."

Jin pulls out his wallet and swipes his card, hoping it won't get rejected. He doesn't want to go through that embarrassing situation again. He sighs in relief when it is approved and waits for the receipt and pills.

     "How's Mrs. Kim?"

"She's... getting worse," is all Jin says, not being able to lie to him. Ken looks at him sympathetically, sadness in his eyes. Mrs. Kim was like another mom to him.

"I'm sorry, but she's a strong woman. She'll get back on her feet again."

"Yea, I hope so," he says, giving him an awkward half smile. Ken finally hands him the stuff and Jin starts to walk off.

"Jinnie! Maybe we could hang out this weekend. You know, like old times."

Jin looks down at his hands before looking up again. "Yea. That would be nice."

Ken smiles widely. "Great! Um, where do you live?"

"Same house, if you still remember where it is."

Jin doesn't mean to sound bitter, after all, he could've contacted him first as well. But Ken doesn't think much of it or take it harshly at all.

"Of course! I'll see you on Saturday at 6."
     "See ya."

He goes back to his cart and leaves to get the rest of his groceries, mentally checking off items from his list as he puts them in the cart. Things go smoothly, everyone is minding their own business, but despite that, Jin can't help but feel like he is being watched the whole time. He's constantly looking over his shoulder, but he spots no danger near him. He starts to get really creeped out and the only place he can think of that is fully safe is his house, so he quickly finishes and heads off to the register.

He smiles at the cashier, but they just look at him bored. Teenagers, man. All they want to do is go home, eat, sleep, and do nothing. They remain quiet while the items are being scanned, Jin looking around aimlessly before the cashier tells him the total in a monotonous tone. He pulls out his card and inserts it into the chip reader, but it beeps loudly, the screen saying that the card is being rejected. His heart drops and slowly looks up at the girl, who doesn't change expression.

Someone in the line yells at him to hurry up and this just makes him feel more embarrassed. He's going to have to leave a few things behind. He sighs and shyly tells the girl to take some items off and she just scoffs.

Sorry you have to do your job, he scowls internally. Finally the total is to an affordable amount and he books it out of there once everything is paid for. He bids the girl a nice evening, but she ignores him and starts scanning the next person in line. He brushes it off this time. There's no dealing with people like that.

He walks outside and just his luck, it starts to sprinkle. He decides to jog as much as he can with the bags and is now on his way. His ears turn red as the wind gets colder, the rain not helping at all. After a while, it tones down and he is able to walk comfortably home. He takes out his phone and checks the time. He spent so much time at the store that it is now almost 7 when he left around 6. Hopefully his mom doesn't notice how long he took, hopefully she's just napping.

He walks around the corner and that's when the uncomfortable feeling of being watched comes back. Maybe it's his imagination or paranoia, but he definitely doesn't want trouble tonight, or any night for that matter. He has his mother to take care of. Luckily though, he's only a few blocks away from his home so he's just going to have to hurry.

He begins to speed walk, but it's not enough when he feels two pairs of hands grab him harshly, making him drop his groceries. He thrashes about, screaming for help but the man covers his mouth with his gloved hand. He's carried down the street and is thrown inside a shady ass van, the action making him groan in pain as his side hits the seat.

"I don't have much money, you can take what I have but please let me go," he pleads, tears welling up in his eyes. He can't believe this is happening to him. Out of everyone, it has to be him.

Both of the men laugh loudly and one of them shakes his head. "We don't want your money, pretty boy. We want you."

After that, he back hands Jin really hard, knocking him out in the back seat. The man then situates himself back in the passenger seat and proceeds to video call someone. After three rings, they answer.

"Seungri, I hope you have good news for me."

"Don't worry boss. We got him," Seungri says before flipping the camera to show Jin laying limply in the back. Seung-Hyun grins widely and nods in satisfaction.

"That's the one. The pretty little slut from the Black Diamond," he says, licking his lips as he scans his body. He congratulates the men and hangs up, sliding his legs off his table and down on the ground.

"Leave," he shoos off one of his many pets away and once the door is closed, he pulls out a picture taken of Jin from his drawer. It's from almost a week ago, Jin's body glimmering in the artificial light due to his sweat and body glitter. He looked so delicious that night on stage.

He runs his fingertip down the photo.

"You are going to make me so much money, little one," he grins devilishly.
