[THIRD PERSON]
Shit. He didn't mean to flat out say that, but he did at the same time? Jin's making him weaker every second he's around him and somehow, Yoongi can't find it within himself to be angry about it anymore. It's been so long since he's been vulnerable around someone, he had worked so hard to build up his defenses over the years and it seems that Jin is just effortlessly breaking down the walls, exposing him further and further.
This time it's Jin's turn to tear his gaze away from Yoongi, a small smile on his face as he blushes. "T-thank you."
A waitress comes up to their table and hands them the menu, asking them what they'd like to drink to start with. Yoongi orders a simple Americano while Jin orders some tea. She leaves once she has everything written down and gives them more time to look over the menu.
Yoongi already knows what he's getting and shyly watches Jin as he bites his lip and skims over the food options, unsure of what to get. There's so many, everything looks and sounds so good.
Feeling brave, he reaches across the table and grabs his hand, Jin noticeably flinches before relaxing. Yoongi frowns, he hates that he makes him react this way every time he so much as touches or is near him. I'm such a piece of shit.
"Get whatever you want Jinnie. I'll buy whatever you'd like, it's not a problem."
He knows money can't fix everything, but it can make them a little better, right? He was serious when he said he was going to treat him like he should've. He wants to give him the whole world, to show him how much he means to him. Materialistic or not, Yoongi wants him to live happily and hopefully beside him.
"I-I know, but I feel bad."
Yoongi brings Jin's hand up to his lips and kiss his knuckles, rubbing them afterwards with the pad of his thumb. "Don't. I want to make it up to you in any way I can."
The boys are halfway through their food and surprisingly, everything is going pretty well between them. They're finally having a conversation, an actual conversation like what other people have. It's refreshing for them both.
"So that's what you were going to college for? I mean, it makes sense though. I can tell how much you like cooking," Yoongi says as he pops the last bite of his food in his mouth. Jin nods, smiling.
"It's one of the things that make me really happy. So what about you?"
He folds his arms on the table and leans forward a bit. "I didn't get to go. I was left in charge of the company when I barely just turned 21, that was when my father got sick. Jungkook got to go for a while and once he graduated, he started working alongside me. I'm still somewhat in the music industry though so I can't really complain."
He purses his lips. "But was there something that you really wanted to go for?"
Yoongi sighs and smiles sadly. "Music composition. I wanted to write and produce, gain credits under my name, you know? I guess I'm just glad that I can at least give others that opportunity by signing them. However, I do work on some side projects to fulfill that space."
He looks at him, nervous, and he fidgets with his fingers. Come on Jin. "Would you ever be comfortable enough to share them with someone? Like me for example?"
