//20 - "You deserve to be happy, Jinnie"//

Jin and Jimin spend the rest of the day talking and eventually, they sit out in the sunroom. They go through names despite not knowing if he is going to have a girl or boy yet, but they didn't really care, they're too excited about the little one. They made a list of possibilities and Jimin included Taehyung's grandma's name in it as well. She meant the world to him so it's understandable that he would.

They're busy talking and laughing, but then Jimin stops and gets up abruptly and runs. Jin turns around, worried and scared that they might be in danger but he relaxes when he sees Jimin jump into a smiling Taehyung's arms. He smiles, but he decides to stay behind and give them their moment, not wanting to intrude until Jimin waves him over. He awkwardly walks over and bows at Taehyung.

He shakes his head. "What did I say?" He says playfully, pulling him into a hug and Jin chuckles, awkwardly patting his back.

"Oh! Jungkook said he would come over in a bit. He just had to finish a few things."

He blushes a little and nods. "Ok."

     Taehyung and Jimin look at each other knowingly but decide not to mess with Jin about it since they don't want to upset him. They're not sure how exactly he would take it. Taehyung leans down and pecks Jimin's forehead, looking at him dearly.

     "Where's Tannie baby?"

     Jimin's eyes light up and he begins jumping up and down. "Oh you gotta see Tannie. He's so cute! Come on!"

     Jin is dragged upstairs by the tiny human to where Yeontan is sleeping in Taehyung and his room, Taehyung following behind.

Jungkook sits restlessly at his desk, ruffling his hair as he gets more and more stressed with the amount of paperwork piled up on the corner of the table. The fact that Seungri has stopped by earlier and bothered him since Yoongi didn't show up at all didn't help his headache at all either. He just wants to leave and see Jin before heading home.

He's been on his mind the whole day, wondering if he's doing ok, if he woke up fine, etc. He had quite a night last night and he didn't want Jin to suffer at the thought. That's when he says 'fuck it' and gets up from his desk, grabbing his jacket and exits his office, leaving his work behind. He figures he can just come in early tomorrow to finish it.

He arrives at Taehyung's shortly after and is already unbuckling his seatbelt as he shuts off his car. He walks up the driveway and knocks and is answered by Taehyung himself.

He wraps his arm around his shoulder. "Hey Kook, it's about time." He jokes.

Jungkook shakes his head and sighs. "There was, still is, a shit ton of paperwork to do but I'll finish it tomorrow morning. I'm just really tired and besides, I want to check up on Jin."

Taehyung wiggles his eyebrows at Jungkook, which earns him a thump on the head. "Quit it."

Taehyung scowls and pouts, rubbing the area where he was hit. "Fine."

He leads him upstairs where the two are still playing with Yeontan, playing tug-of-war with an Ernie plushie and tossing a rubber ball for him. They stand by the doorway just watching, both smiling softly at the two younger boys. It isn't until the ball rolls towards their direction when they notice them.

"Come Minie, let's go to the kitchen and fix your favorite snack."

Jimin gasps and runs up to Taehyung, taking his hand and dragging him to the kitchen, leaving Jin and Jungkook alone. Jungkook smiles as Jin gets up and walks towards him, not really knowing what to do. Should he bow or? His question is answered when Jungkook cautiously opens his arms, offering him a hug. Jin doesn't hesitate and he is then engulfed in Jungkook's arms, taking in the smell of his cologne.

"How are you feeling?"

"I'm fine," he says softly, still holding on to Jungkook's jacket. Jungkook hums and sways them gently, making Jin feel more safe. They stand there for a moment and eventually, Jin decides to ask Jungkook, despite his nerves.

"Um, Kookie?"

The nickname makes Jungkook smile. "Yes?"

"I-I was wondering if it would be alright if I, um, if I go see my mom. I just... I want to make sure she's ok. She wasn't when I was taken and it's been almost a month since. Please?"

Jungkook feels sympathy for him as he didn't know his mother was unwell at all. He never gave it much thought, as bad as it sounds, to what he might've been going through before being kidnapped. He wants to make Jin happy, he became dead set on it since he made his decision to rescue him from Yoongi, so he will do whatever it takes to do so.

"Of course you can, I'm not Yoongi," he can't help saying. "But I want to be the one to take you. I don't want you getting spotted by Seung-Hyun's men by chance so I want to be there to protect you, ok?"

Jin doesn't mind him going at all, just knowing that soon he'll be with his mom again already took him to the moon. He misses her so much and it makes him tear up and eventually sob into Jungkook's chest.

"T-thank you so much. You have no idea how much this really means to me."

Jungkook hugs him tighter and quietly shushes him in order to help calm his sobs. "It's nothing at all, it's no problem. You deserve to be happy, Jinnie."

Rubbing his side and back, he kisses the top of his head.
