"Hurry up Soobin!" You called after Soobin, who had surprisingly been trudging slowly behind you, when he was the one who wanted to go to the book store in the first place. He woke you up from your nap, just to tell you he'd buy you all the Churros in the world if you'd just go with him for an hour.
At first, the offer seemed great. But now it seemed pretty bland and boring, because Soobin was taking his sweet ass time. "Soobin, you're going to get hit! Walk faster," at first he thought you were going to be the one hitting him, but after he looked up and saw headlights and a horn blaring at him, he sighed out of relief.
Dashing forward, he grabbed your hand in his and slowly walked beside you. "Why are you so slow today?" He heard you ask as the two of you approached the bookstore.
"I'm not! I'm just taking my time"
"You're doing it on purpose... do you like getting yelled at?" You asked skeptically. "No" he mumbled lowly, basically submitting to you right here. "Alright then. Keep up," he scoffed, he wasn't a child, he thought. Out in public, people would say how you two were such a cute couple. But they would also say that you acted like Soobin's mother more than anything, maybe even an elder sister.
You both eventually got to the bookstore, and each roamed on your own for a little while looking for a few books to buy.
You found quite a few good ones, and then began your journey to find your boyfriend.
You found him near the back of the empty bookstore, scanning the bookcases skeptically.
"I'm all done, babe" he laughed, looking over seeing at least five books stacked on top of one another. "Are you sure you don't want to buy the whole store?" He joked. You scoffed rolling your eyes. "I'm too broke for that, Soobin! Stop playing around" You snapped swatting his arm. "I'd do it for you..." said Soobin, quite seriously. You glanced at him sideways, afterwards shaking your head.
"Soobin, don't say silly things like that. I don't want your money" "I know that. I'm just offering" he smiled warmly, his hand cupping the back of your head before bringing you closer to give you a kiss on your forehead.
"You know i'd do it for you..." you immediately shushed your boyfriend, telling him what he was saying none sense, and you didn't want him to feel obligated to buy you things. You had your own job, you had your own money.
"What'd you pick out?" Soobin questioned motioning down to your books, thankfully drawing you out of your somewhat negative thoughts.
You began pulling a book from the stack, and then went on to explain the four others you picked out. Some were amazing titles you'd heard of, and others were amazing as friends had told you, but you hadn't heard of them; hence why you'd gotten them.
But one book in particular caught Soobin's attention, and he instantly blushed wildly, before snatching the book from your hand and shoving it into a nearby shelf, where it didn't belong; on the children's side.
"Y/n, put that back! We're not getting that!" Soobin exclaimed loudly, although he did not want to be heard. "Soobin! Stop it—"
He snapped loudly once again. "No!" You groaned in annoyance. "Babe—"
"What're you doing with that book?" He acted as if you committed a crime, and you were not having it.
"I wanted to read it! I heard it was good"
"You're not buying fifty shades freed, go pick out something different" Soobin nonchalantly walked off, hoping you wouldn't pick the book back up again, but unfortunately for him you did. "You're not my brother, Soobin. Plus, I'm older than you by a year! You listen to me!"
"That doesn't count!"
"It does if you don't want me to embarrass you right here, right now"
