A/N: this was kind of challenging because Wooyoung isn't my bias and I don't feel particularly drawn to him, but towards the end it was actually pretty easy. I tried my best! requested by @soft_sannie

Summary: wooyoung trades something very important for the chance to feel your love again.
Words: 993You were already in a new relationship, only after a year of breaking up with Wooyoung. It shocked him, but after you expressed to him that you had concerns about the relationship, he could already tell you'd long ago moved on, mentally of course. Now it was your turn to go off exploring on your own, without him. Meet new people, have new different experiences that you hadn't experienced before, possibly find someone completely different than him. Someone more compatible.
And you had. You had moved on so damn quick, and it shocked and scared him. Because he wasn't over you. He never would be, which is something that scared him greatly. He didn't want to get attached to another person, especially one who he was no longer bonded with. But... he still did love you so much, and that wasn't going away.
So, he did something very selfish... At the time, he hasn't realized how wrong it was, and the consequences it came with, and really in his mind, the only consequences were good ones. Because you were going to be the end goal, and so far he'd seem to have gotten it. Wooyoung now did realize how selfish it had been, and that he wasn't thinking about your feelings or your current boyfriend, Yunho's, possible feelings to the situation. He didn't want to hurt anyone, but he'd rather hurt people and have you to himself than be the one hurting without you.
Selfish, right?
So, unbeknownst to you, Wooyoung sold his soul and pride to the 'devil' for powers. And in return, he was able to stop and possibly reverse time. You must want him now, right? Especially since he went through great lengths and gave up so much just for you.
He wanted to prove to you he could be better than his past self, that whatever he did wrong that you failed to inform him about, he surely could fix. But he hadn't realized he couldn't necessarily do anything. Because the problem wasn't him, it was you. You had fallen out of love, moved on from him. He just didn't get it.
"You said you wanted to meet. Is everything all right?" You asked approaching where the young man stood near a park entrance of some sort.
Despite breaking up, you did end on alright terms. You could still talk to him and it wouldn't be filled with hatred or anger. But the love that used to be there definitely wasn't now.
"Yeah, I just wanted to see you."
You giggled, showing that contagious smile. "Well, here I am!"
"Hey..." he shyly greeted. "Hi."
"I'm nervous." He admitted. You nodded, understanding. He was nervous without a doubt, he didn't know if this would work. And if it did, would you remember him? Or would it go back to the very beginning?
"I can tell. You're extremely pale and you look cold," you said, taking a step closer to eye him.
Even having broken up and now in a new relationship, probably learning your new partner's habits and whatnot, you still knew when he was nervous. It surprised him, but he was grateful you still remembered.
He nervously chuckled, thankfully you couldn't see his sweaty palms. Because you'd surely know something was wrong.
"I know it's fall. But it doesn't get chilly for another couple—"
"Reverse." Wooyoung lowly whispered the command that would put everything into motion and hopefully go to the past.
Suddenly, everything around you'd stopped briefly, before it all flashed before you.
"What's happening?" You rushed out, frantically looking around in hopes to grasp what the hell was going in. "Stay still, alright? Everything's oka —"
Everything was not okay. Or so it seemed because you'd just vanished from thin air. His heart sped up, and he seemed to freeze himself.
What the hell... he thought. You were definitely not supposed to disappear. Or maybe you were... He wanted to scream and call for your name, but the flashing and world seemed to stop again, distracting him.
As soon as everything seemed to stop, the sudden realization that he was now standing in front of the old cookie shop you used to work at dawned on him. It was the first time he ever met you and exchanged numbers in the hopes of being friends. That obviously went down a completely different road though.
If he had reversed time, he prayed you were inside and that this wasn't some awful trick, or even worse, that he was dreaming. If he was dreaming, he'd have to face another excruciating long day without you again, followed by three hundred sixty five more days that would be agonizing.
As soon as he entered the cookie shop, all the emotions, smells, and feelings rushed right back to him like the very first time he stepped into the store. You'd met four years ago and he was surprised he could still remember everything about this place, even though having not stepped in here for over a year.
He eyed the little glass windows the cookies were behind, eyes staying on a particular one that still looked delicious.
"The kind of cookie you pick can really determine what kind of personality you have. At least I think so," Everything was the same. Even what you had just said, he couldn't help but smile happily. This was great...
You came around from behind the counter, standing beside him. You looked at the same lemony pink cookie he was staring at.
"Something tells me you're soft with a bit of sourness to you... You have an eye for cookies." You smirked at him cheekily, your cheeks heating up just like his own.
This was beyond anything he'd ever imagined. He had so many questions for you, despite having already known you. He wanted to get to know you all over again.
He wanted to stay like this forever... And forever was a very, very long time.
