LUHAN X FEM! READER
HOSPITAL AU! HANAHAKI DISEASE AU!
[WORDS; 2,910]
[A/N; I'll be adding a different spin to the Hanahaki Disease. So basically instead of dying in the end like how it usually works, whoever has the disease has to suffer horrible nightmares. I edited/proof read this, but I might've missed things, so sorry if I did. Enjoy!]

"She's in room 302, Sir" The nurse who had guided Luhan to your room explained, halting as soon as she stood in front of a tan metal door. The brunette nodded, both eager and nervous to open the door and step inside. He hadn't seen you in months, and had meant to come visit for a few hours. But life got in the way, and he found that he hadn't seen you since January, around the time he came in to celebrate New Years with you; even brining a chocolate cupcake to celebrate. It was now October, and he was feeling extremely guilty.

Snapping back into reality, Luhan watched as the nurse dressed in white scrubs, unlocked the door and stepped aside making room for him.

"Thank you," The man thanked the nurse who tried her best to smile, although it didn't work, before she turned on her heel and walked off silently.

Taking a sharp deep breath, he decided to turn the knob, the nervousness filling up the pit in his stomach.

As soon as the door opened, the nervousness just increased even more.

And that made him realize that things were much more different now. He'd never felt so nervous visiting you before, or seeing you in general. Perhaps it was because you'd grown significantly apart and that this was probably one of the last times he'd see you again.

Eyes scanning the room for you figure, it landed on a uncomfortable looking chair, positioned by the window. And that's where you sat, knees curled up to your chest, as you stared out at the sunny day.

He couldn't see your face, but he already knew the expression that laid there. Probably a mixture of sadness and regret. That's how it always was. At least from what he depicted it as.

Trying to swiftly come stand beside you so you'd notice, he found that he didn't have to do much to grab your attention.

As soon as his black boot clad shoe hit the end of the bed on accident, he found your head snapping in his direction frantically.

Your face resembled a deer in headlights, something his friends would make fun of him for usually; the nickname of course. You looked more than shocked to see him, and Luhan found it harder to read your facial expressions each time he came to visit you. It was like you were shutting him and everyone out around you, by keeping a blank face around those who thought they could read you the best.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to frighten you," Luhan's hands raised in defense, as he swiftly moved around the table in the middle of the small room to sit on the bed.

"...It's alright," you breathed out.

Silence. That's all either one of you could hear. No one being able to say a word.
