"Kai-Kai!" You called out for the sixteen year old, who had been somewhere in the large studio, most likely recording music with his friends.

His popped up from behind one of the speakers, and you stared at the teen oddly. "What're you doing?" You questioned, confused. "I told you to stop calling me that!" He mumbled looking behind him at Soobin and Yeonjun who were arguing over a lyric in the second recording booth.

You rolled your eyes. "I've been calling you Kai-Kai for years, just get used to it"

You originally met when you first moved into the neighborhood many years ago. You remember your mom telling you that your father's childhood friend lived next door, and they both said they had a son, around your age.

So of course, your mother dragged you all the way to the neighbors quiet house. You were a pretty shy child, so when you first encountered Hueningkai, you opted for hiding behind your father's legs. He was big, and was a great barrier from the five— almost six year olds eyes who kept starting directly at you.

Ever since then, your families would often have get togethers, and since you and Hueningkai were so close in age, you naturally got along pretty well. He would walk you to school and back home on days he had free, and you would often stop at the slushy shop and get slushees and an assortment of candies.

You rarely argued when you were young...Well, up until fourth and fifth grade. You'd always called your best friend Kai-Kai, short for Hueningkai. But he explained to you that he didn't want you calling him that anymore. You remember getting into small but tough arguments because you felt that you should be allowed to call him whatever you wanted, he was your best friend. Your eight year old self was offended.

Even to this day you still call him Kai-Kai. Even at sixteen. It just naturally slips out of your mouth after nine or so years of calling him that.

He never stopped correcting you, but at least now he'd gotten somewhat used to it even though he didn't want to, because the nickname just embarrassed him.

"Why should I get used to it, when I've kindly asked you multiple times to not call me that!" He scolded, standing up and dusting his knees off before walking over to give you a hug. He hadn't seen you in weeks it felt like, but in reality it had only been one day. You both were very dependent on each other and it was horrible. It was like twins, who couldn't separate because one felt odd or left out when the other wasn't around.

You did everything together as children, and still do even though he's pretty busy being apart of a new Kpop group and all. You've seen each other cry, whether he wants to admit it or not. You both have stuck up for each other in dangerous situations. It even went as far as to when one or the other had a girlfriend or boyfriend, at first the other would like them and wouldn't have anything against the person. But spending time with a significant other would cause the other person to feel like a third wheel. That's also another reason why you two never had other friends other than each other. Someone got jealous and the bond just wasn't as strong.

It was good you got along with his friends, Yeonjun, Soobin, Beomgyu and Taehyun. It made things much easier. You had a pretty strong bond with them as well, which just made the relationship with Hueningkai so much better.

"Stop acting like that. You're lucky I even decided to come all the way over here today. The studio is three hours from my house," you pinched his pale cheeks, earning a tongue being stuck out at you. "I know, I know. Thank you for coming" With a nod of his head, he released you and began walking towards a piano, near one of the recording booths. You followed closely behind him, shedding your bright red jacket and placing it on one of the comfy chairs.

"Traffic was a bitch" You chuckled, earning a glare from your friend. You knew that look. Hueningkai absolutely hated it when you swore, he never told you why. It was just one of the things he disliked, along with being called Kai-Kai.

"I thought I told you to stop swearing. I don't like it,"
Hueningkai sat down on the piano bench, patting his jean clad leg, motioning for you to sit. You sighed, hoping that by speaking he wouldn't ask you to sit again. "I know, I know. It's a habit, sorry" you mumbled, head casting down.

You gulped. You couldn't sit. Not on his lap. You were already feeling these weird bubbling pits caving your stomach in, each time you were around him.

"Are you going to sit or not?" He questioned, getting the feeling that something was wrong already. This was one of the hard things I'd bring friends at times. Because you knew each other's emotions down to a T, and that meant you knew whenever each other was sad, mad or both.

"Yeah..." you said in a hushed fine, taking a seat on his thigh. He just averted his eyes away from you and focused on the piano keys in front of him.

Long, but slim fingers played with the keys delicately, and you found yourself staring at his smooth looking face. Watching him made you smile. So much so, that you were in your own little world staring at him; drowning out the beautiful sounds coming from the large instrument.

But he'd caught on and had felt as if he was being watched, and immediately looked down at you. "What?"

You blushed and said, "You're cute" Fuck. Why did you say that out loud?

He squinted his eyes confused.

Chuckling nervously, you uncomfortably shifted in his lap, feeling slightly odd. You were so close in proximity and after what you'd just said, your stomach felt like exploding. "What I mean is—"

You sighed. You shouldn't keep these feelings harbored within like this. It'll just give you more added anxiety, that you did not need.

A shaky tone left your voice as you said, "I like you" he nodded.

"Of course you do, why would you be my friend if you didn't like me?" Oh. My. God! Sometimes your friend could be.... an idiot. Maybe it was just teen boys in general. He had to of been good at something, I mean he was accepted into a Kpop group.

"No, Hueningkai... I like like you," you pointed a finger at his chest, and watched as his eyes slowly squinted even more before finally releasing and widening scarily. He looked like you just told him you were going to strip him naked and throw him into a volcano.

"You, like me?"

You nodded. He just laughed out loud concerning you deeply.

"I saw that coming" he brushed it off causally with a nervous scoff. "Kai-Kai! Stop teasing!" You whined punching his shoulder.

"Can I make it up to you by giving you a kiss?" You couldn't but blush uncontrollably.

"My dad would kill you if you kissed me!" You explained. He laughed again. "When has your dad ever not told me that?" Your father had practically been giving Hueningkai warnings his whole life, even more so as you both got older.

"But—"

Hueningkai smirked and said, "Even he saw it coming. Just accept it"
