Arriving home, you were once again met with an empty house filled with so much furniture that barely got used. With a sigh, you dramatically threw everything you'd been holding, down to the ground.

You always felt lonely in moments like these when you returned home from photo shoots or having been at a fashion show in another country or even close to home. The large house was almost always quiet.

The only time you remembered it being as loud and boisterous this year was when you and your husband, Baekhyun, hosted a New Years Party six months ago. All of EXO had come, along with a few other friends. But ever since then, Baekhyun had been busy with music, shows, meet and greets, and you had been busy with photo shoots and modeling.

You tried to make time for each other. And you'd say, for the first year of marriage, you did have a lot of time together. But around the second year, you realized that free time was slipping away faster and faster. And now, at year three, you only saw each other three or two times a month, if you were lucky.

It was sad. But that's what happened when you had such busy, demanding schedules. Thankfully though, you and Baekhyun both had a few days off to spend with each other. You weren't sure how long you'd be able to really spend together, but you wouldn't mind spending it all in the house, in bed or on the couch cuddled together, watching Netflix.

Having received a text from Baekhyun, saying that he'd be gone soon, you left upstairs to unpack your bags. It was an easy process, seeing as most everything had been untouched and neat in the right places.

As soon as you unpacked all of your things, despite still being in your nude dress and somewhat uncomfortable nude high heels, you found yourself plopping on your plush bed, laying on your back.

As soon as your eyes closed, you were met with that same silence that you did not enjoy. Although it was much more relaxing than being in the spotlight, it made you feel extremely lonely.

You probably laid there for about ten minutes, just feeling relaxed. That is until, large hands were being placed on your hips, slightly trailing upwards until they touched your ribcage. Jumping at the sudden contact, you sat up hurriedly, ready to push who you thought was an intruder off of you.

But you just heaved a sigh when you realized it was Baekhyun.

"Jesus, Baekhyun you scared me!"

"You've become quite jumpy, are you really that shocked to see me?"

"Yes," You giggled, still sitting at the end of the bed, you threw yourself into his chest, breathing in his warm scent that easily distressed you. "I felt like we haven't seen each other in months" He nodded as enveloped you in a hug, his chin resting on top of your head. "I know," he sighed. "We have such busy schedules. But, you're all mine for three days" He leaned down to kiss your cheek.

"Good. No interruptions!" You said squeezing tighter. Not wanting to let go.

The next couple hours consisted of you cooking dinner for you and Baekhyun, you cooked his favorite meal and also made your favorite meal, which you were thankful the two blended well together. You'd since then changed into more comfortable clothes which consisted of a pair of shorts and a t-shirt.

But things seemed different as soon as you sat down at the barely used dinner table. You didn't know what to say to your husband of three years and that scared you the more you thought about it while sitting there. It made you realize that being away from someone you love deeply can really change things drastically. You always assumed that the love you held for your best friend, lover and soulmate could always stitch together the holes and patches life created. But this time, it was proven to be so different. Because for once, you didn't know how to talk to him.

Being away from each other so long did that. Your careers and dreams did that.

You were starting to feel guilty and uncomfortable. Guilty that you felt so uncomfortable in front of the man who'd seen so many different sides of you, yet never judged because he was kindhearted like that and couldn't find it in him to judge you ever. You wondered if he felt the same way as you picked at your dish before you. You assumed the usually loud but also shy man in front of you had to of felt something close to the same because he didn't utter a word. Unlike other times where he usually would've.

You truly did not know what to say. And it made you feel sick that you'd allow this to happen over time.

As you continued to let your head get the better of you, you realized something else. This house was always empty, about ninety percent of the time. It was such a beautiful house too, one with many bedrooms and bathrooms, and a huge backward. You had so many hopes for the future. Like maybe having pets, and down the road kids. But now the house was empty with life most of the time, and couldn't even be called home in your opinion. You couldn't make it home if you were never here. Baekhyun was a different story though. He could've felt the same way, or it didn't bother him much because he'd always been on the road touring, to say the least, he'd seen his fair share of hotels over the years.

"Maybe we should sell the house..." You said softly, picking at the Kimchi on your plate with your fork. You didn't dare look up, already knowing that shock would be written all over your husbands face. As I said, your brain had gotten the better of you, and thoughts began to pile up that needed to be spewed out eventually. It was a habit of yours. Thinking too much, and then stressing and worrying about said thoughts until you exploded or eventually told someone.

"Why?" Baekhyun seemed offended and you could see why. He'd picked the house out himself, and had practically bought it for you as an over extravagant wedding gift three years ago.

Now you began eating your food, neatly shoveling it into your mouth, trying to ignore his heated stare.

"Because it's huge, and we're never home" His voice slightly raised. "We bought it with the intent of raising children here" The man said.

"I understand that," you nodded with a sigh. "But I don't see us having kids anytime soon, do you?"

"I mean, we can't even see each other for a solid week without our schedules clashing... And we can barely talk to each other," your voice came out in a sad whisper.

"We're talking now, aren't we?" He fought back snappily, his fork scraping against his plate making you cringe. You knew he was right... in at least one way. But it wasn't the same.

"We sat here for thirty minutes. Neither of us able to say anything to each other... That's never happened before and it worries me"
