I hope Mari's awake by now. Let's hope she doesn't have too many injuries, Plagg thought nervously and sadly.

With Tikki and Marinette

Tikki watched over Mari within the time Plagg was gone. When she had changed Mari's bandages, she had been highly concerned with the bruising on Mari's abdomen and leg, and the yellow-purple color to the cut on her shoulder.

Her shoulder wound had gotten infected, and her ribs and tibia had shifted, causing more pain to be brought to Mari.

Tikki had just changed the bandages in sad silence, one she wished Mari would fill with reassuring words.

She missed her friend's voice and wanted nothing more than to see those bluebell eyes open.

Tikki had a slight tremble in her hands when she changed the bandaging Alya had done for Mari's cuts. Tikki did her best though. She hated seeing Mari in pain.

Tikki's head jolted towards the bedroom door. She heard something. A bang rang through the fortress, making Tikki nervous. Did someone get in?

"Cookie!"

Tikki sighed in relief. It was just Plagg. Maybe she was just a bit paranoid.

Plagg walked through the door and over to the bed, sitting down in the chair he sat in previously. He glanced at Mari and sighed.

"Still not awake?" Plagg mumbled.

Tikki shook her head, eyes downcast to the floor. She just wanted Mari to wake up so she could see her again.

A groan resounded throughout the room. The two humanized kwamis froze. Turning to each other, they seek confirmation. The two then turned to the bed and stared with wide eyes.

Mari opened her bluebell eyes and groaned a little in pain. Her eyes traveled around the room, then resided to the two people watching her. Mari's eyes widened and she let out a terrified shriek.

"W-Who are you?" Mari questioned.

Tikki and Plagg looked at each other in sadness. They wished she knew who they were in their human forms. But with what happened in the past, it was safer-ish this way.

"It's me, Marinette. I'm Tikki. And this is Plagg, Chat Noir's kwami," Tikki explained.

Mari raised an eyebrow in confusion, her terror fading. She looked between the two humanized kwamis, curious as to how they're human. Wait-

"You're human," Mari whispered.

Tikki nodded with a hum and Plagg just watched the exchange between the two. Mari seemed to take everything in, then turned back to the two.

"Where am I? And what happened? The last thing I remember was going to the Eiffel Tower," Mari recalled.

Tikki smiled sadly and looked at Mari's beautiful bluebell eyes. She missed those eyes.

"Well, Plagg and I got worried and we found you passed out at the Eiffel Tower. So we brought you here. But I'm sorry. That's all we can tell you until the time is right," Tikki apologized.

Plagg gave Tikki a questioning look, to which she answered with a look of her own. Plagg understood to keep everything that happened a secret. Mari did not ask any more questions after that.

"Thank you for helping me," Mari thanked.

Then her stomach growled. LOUD. She blushed in embarrassment and Tikki and Plagg looked at her with knowing yet sad smiles.
