We spent the rest of the week altogether, with Ian joining us on our adventures. James had to go away on a business trip so unfortunately he didn't get to spend any more time with us.
I was grateful that Ian was there though, he showed us many things around NYC that we wouldn't have thought to go to. Plus, we got to get to know him more. I think he's a great person to be around; he has such a good energy.
The week actually flew by but as the saying goes, times flies when you're having fun. Before I knew it, we were packing our bags and saying goodbye to Ian and New York. We vowed to meet again, it would be a shame to just leave whatever we had going on there.
I don't know really what went off. One second he was taking me to meet James and doing a kind gesture, and the next I was there for him, holding his hand and cuddling up to him all the time.
The thing is, I don't know if I'm ready for someone else. It's only been almost three months since Logan and I split up, but somehow it feels as though I should be over it. I am in a way, I don't think about him all the time and I don't long for his touch or presence. But at the same time I still love him, I don't think I ever will stop loving him.
New York helped me to get over him because I haven't even thought about all of the media about us, his song and him in general, even once while being here.
It was a great week all in all, I've made a great friend for life, even though I only got to spend one day with James. Then I met Ian, who I think is going to be a great part of my life too.
Anyway, we got back around three AM, and everyone went straight to sleep. Tay and I stopped at Zalfies house because it was easier than all getting dropped off at different places by the taxi.
The next day was spent in cozy clothes, unpacking suitcases and sorting washing out. The usual day after you come back from a break day.
Taylyn and I decided to go to a McDonald's near us at around ten pm. We'd only have to walk five minutes and we'd be there. So we put on some leggings and hoodies, along with coats and tied up messy hair, and set off walking.
"I could eat for days." Taylyn shoved at least five chips into her mouth, moaning.
"Alright Tay, calm down." I chuckled.
The restaurant was pretty much empty. There were only the lazy workers behind the counters chatting quietly, a random man in high vis and Taylyn and I sat in the restaurant.
"I mean it. I just want to stay here and drown my sorrows with McDonald's." She said with a half full mouth.
"What about seeing Daniel tomorrow?" I smirked. Taylyn had agreed to go out and spend some time with Dan whilst away. He's never really been the type of guy to take a girl out, he's normally a 'come to mine' guy. Tay must be different for him, he's willing to make an effort.
"Yeah, I'm excited for that too but..." she trailed off.
"But what?" I frowned, taking a drink of my milkshake.
She put down her chip packet, and sat back. "What if it just turns into him wanting stuff?"
Oh.
"You tell him to fuck off."
"You know I'd do that anyway, but I just don't want him to turn out like other boys, especially after what happened last time."
"You just need to stand your ground, and even if he does turn out to be a little fuck boy, there's always Aiden waiting to whisk you away." I winked. Aiden's always been interested in her, it's obvious. I guess there's always been Daniel in the way, and he's always been first in line because he's way more confident.
