"How about this?" I held up a dress, showing it to Lexie.

Somehow I'd been persuaded to go shopping with Lexie and Paige, for their outfits for a party that school was hosting. It was a last celebration sort of thing for the year that left in August, so my year. They're all officially out of education now, unless they carry on at college or university.

"No, it's too innocent." Lexie dismissed.

"You're going to school." I reminded her. At the rate we were going at, Lexie was going to have to turn up in a bin bag. Everything we'd suggested she had refused. I wish she was more like Paige, and just gotten the first dress she saw in the first shop.

Lexie scowled, "I know. I'm just saying I have to impress."

"Personally, I don't think Jack cares what you look like." Paige interjected, leaning on a clothing rack because of how boring it was getting.

"Personally, I think you should shut up."

"Girls, don't start arguing. Lexie try these dresses on, and if none of them fit, your mum can sort you out with a bin bag." I sorted, holding up a few dresses from a few different rails.

Lexie sighed and took them from me, waking off in front towards the changing rooms. We followed and waited outside, ready for her to show us what each dress looks like.

"I wish you were coming to the party." Paige frowned, "It's not a party unless you're there."

"I kind of wish I was going too, but I'm not allowed in now that I'm not a student there."

"They should just let you in. You've been a student there once." Paige shrugged.

"I don't think I could go back there and face half of the people there anyway, especially now that everyone knows Callum and I are siblings."

"You have a point, it was all everyone was talking about when it came out, no one could believe that you two had a connection."

Lexie came out in a first red dress, that was off shoulder and fishtail style. It suited her, but it was too much for a school party. It wasn't a prom she was going to.

Next was a grey flowing dress, but once again, she looked more like she was going to a ball than a shitty school party.

"It's too much to just get covered in dust and other scruffy kids sweat, Lexie. Just try the black one on." Paige told her.

She rolled her eyes, "I don't want black."

"Try it."

Once she came out, she actually had a smile on her face. Oh and she looked gorgeous in the blazer wrap style dress, that had gold buttons on it. It made her figure look amazing.

"That's the one." I nodded approvingly.

"I love it." Lexie grinned.

"Maybe you should listen to us more often then." Paige rolled her eyes getting up from the seat. "Hurry up and buy it then."

"Is someone getting a bit hangry?" Lexie teased.

"Yes. I want some food."

It only took another ten minutes until we were out of the shop, and Lexie had her dress in hand. We decided to go to a restaurant in town, that's based outside. It wasn't a bad idea seen as it's only September the weather hasn't exactly dropped yet.

"But Jack does care what I look like." Lexie said for the thousandth time. "He always tells me I'm ugly."

"Hun, it's a joke." I laughed.
