Losing Your Memory

Chapter 26

"What do you want?" Charlie snapped.

"Whoah, whoah. What's gotten into you, beautiful?" He asked, taking a step closer to her.

She cautiously took a step back. "Stay away." She snapped.

"Charlie, you know I'm not gonna hurt you so what's wrong? Why are you pretending you have no idea who I am?" Seth asked.

"SETH!"

Someone called out.

Seth turned to see Stephanie and Triple H motioning for him. He turned back to Charlie. "Wait here."

He went over to Stephanie and Hunter. "Hey."

"Seth, listen....Charlie...she...."

"She's been acting weird." Seth interrupted.

"She lost her memory." Stephanie informed him.

Seth's knees locked. No matter how much stress he put her through, he still loved her. As MORE than just friends.

"In a car crash. The night that you turned on the Shield." Steph finished.

"Which means she only remembers what Dean has told her about you." Triple H said.

"Great!" Seth said sarcastically.

"So if she did have feelings for you, any at all, you need to find them. You need to do it before it's too late." Stephanie said.

Seth glanced over at Charlie. She looked back at him.

He slowly walked over. "I heard what happened." Seth said sympathetically. "Look....whatever Dean said...."

"It doesn't matter what Dean said." She said, "He gave up on me."

"What?" Seth asked.

"We broke up." She said.

Seth was shocked. Why? Why would Dean ever break up with Charlie? He loved her.

Seth gently grabbed her hand, but she yanked it away. "No." She said quickly. "Just because it's over between me and Dean doesn't mean anything's gonna change between us."

"Charlie, I don't know what Dean told you, but...."

"He told me that you kissed me." She said, interrupting him. "You kissed me and I pushed away. That's what happened, right?"

"What makes you think that?" Seth asked.

"Because I didn't love you. I loved him." She said, "I still love him."

"So you're just gonna take his word because he's the one who got to you first. No one bothered to even tell me that one of my best friends had just lost her memory." He said.

"That's not my fault. You turned your back on Roman and Dean."

"Yeah, to be with you." He said, raising his voice.

Charlie was shocked. She had never even thought of it like that.

"What?" She asked softly.

"Roman and Dean....they were my brothers. They were my best friends. Then you came along. Charlie, my whole world was turned upside down when you came along." Seth said. "Come here. Let's talk over here." Seth brought her into a vacated room and they sat down. Seth looked straight into Charlie's eyes. "You were my best friend at first. Then I started developing feelings for you. I didn't know where the feelings were coming from or what I was supposed to do about them. I just knew that they were there."he said. "We'd been having these moments. I thought you were falling in love with me too. So....I turned on them. I was sick and tired of feeling guilty for wanting you. I wanted to be with you and that was the only way how."

"You turned on your own brothers for.....me?" Charlie asked. Seth nodded. "I never knew that." Charlie said.

"Well now you do." Seth said. He looked into her beautiful big eyes that were staring up at him. He leaned down and gently brushed his lips over hers.

"I still love you." He whispered before closing the gap.
