Crystal's POV

As I finished my story, I look over to Lance. He had tears streaming down his cheeks. I took me a moment to realize that I too had tears. He then pulls me into a hug. After a few moments, we pull back.

"Thank you, Lance. Thank you for listening." I tell him.

"No problem. Thank you for trusting me," he replied back.

"You know, you remind me a lot of my brother. Kind, a good listener, and also a bit of a goofball." I let out a small laugh.

"What, no. I'm the cool ninja sharpshooter," he said, then making a face.

I let out a small laugh. "Sure, Lance."

"Hey so, you want to back to everyone else?" he asked.

"Yeah, I think so." As Lance turns to leave I say: "Wait, Lance."

He turned around. "Yah Crystal?"

"There is something else I want to tell you, or rather, show you."

"I'm all ears. Or eyes I guess," he said with a small laugh.

'Are you sure this is a good idea. You didn't even tell Shiro.' whispers my subconscious. 'No, I'm sure. He has proven to be trustworthy'. "If you're comfortable with it, I want to show you what I under my mask." This gets a gasp and a surprised face from Lance

"Only if you're comfortable with it," he replied.

"I am." Then I remove my bandana and look at Lance.

Lance's POV

When Crystal looked up, shock runs through my body. 'Her eyes! They're cut! And red!' Her iris' we a deep red. Her pupils were indigo and, unlike the usual circular black pupils that humans had. 'She's not human, is she' I thought to myself. 'Of course, she isn't, she can do magic'

"I was afraid to tell anyone because of how people reacted on Earth. Remember when I said that in the hospital I was wearing the face bandages?" Crystal said, clearly uncomfortable by the silence.

"Yes, I do," you say, curious to see where this conversation was headed.

"Well, the glass had permanently damaged my eyes and it made me blind," she said looking at the ground.

"Wait, then how are you able to get around so well?" I ask, genuinely curious.

"When I was captured, they didn't take me to the arena at first. They took me to Haggar's room. She did something where she cut off my feet and turned them into prosthetics so that they would scan anything within a 40-foot radius. When I was sent to the arena for the first time she was testing out to see how it would work."

"Ok, that makes a lot of sense."

"Also there was something else I wanted to ask," she said with a bit of a sad tone to her voice.

"Shoot," I reply

"What do you think of my eyes?" The awkward question hung in the air for a few seconds. Finally, I answer.

"Your eyes are fine. Sure they're different, but they're still beautiful nonetheless." I told her. As I said this, she brought her hand to her mouth and her eyes started tearing up. I start panicking. 'Oh, shoot. What did I say? Stupid, Lance' But then she comes over to me and gives me a hug.

"You really are like him, " she said, pulling me in closer. 'Oh, I'm reminding her of her brother. That makes sense.'

"You ready to go back to the others, or do you want me to show you to your room," I ask her.

"I'd prefer you showing me my room," she responds, finally letting go. "Though Lance, can you promise me you won't tell the others. I want to tell them in my own time."

"Of course. What happened on the roof, stays on the roof." I respond giving her a funny look that earns a small smile. I lead her to her room. She looks around, a bit confused. Then I realize that she probably hasn't been in a proper room for a long time. "Also, if you want, I could ask Pidge if he has any extra clothes. I would offer some of my own, but Pidge seems to be more your size."

"Thank you, that would be great," she replied.

No problem, sister." I say with a cheeky smile. But instead of getting pushed like what I thought would happen, she smiles back.

"See you in a bit, brother" she responded, with a small smile on her face. 'Ah ha, there we go. There is joy in there, she just needs some help getting it out.' I thought to myself.

I then left to Pidge's room. I knocked on the door. When it opened, I could see Pidge tinkering with Rover.

"Hey Pidge, could I borrow some clothes?" I ask, trying to sound casual.

"What for?" he asked, not looking up from his project.

"I wanted to get Crystal a change of clothes since I don't think she'll want to put her prison uniform back on and so she won't have to wear the healing pod suit everywhere." As I say this Pidge falls off of his seat.

"Um, sure," he says, in a bit of a rush. "If you want, I could take them to Crystal."

"Okay then," I respond to Pidge, raising my eyebrow slightly. Pidge then leaves the room with some clothes. 'Heh, oh Pidge. You are too easy to read.' I chuckle to myself, wondering how Crystal will react to Pidge having a crush on her.

Pidge's POV

I went to the hallway to Crystal's room. 'I can't wait to see her. I hope she's doing well.' I then knock on her door. When no one answers, I open the door only to find her passed out on the floor. 'I guess she was really tired.' Then lay the clothes on the desk and proceed to try and pick up Crystal and put her on the bed. I eventually get her up in my arms, but when I try to stand up, I fall over on my back with Crystal on top of me. She stirs and sits up.

I blushed slightly. "Oh my gosh Crystal, I'm so sorry. I was trying to get you on the bed, but I ended up falling over and-" I try to continue, but Crystal cuts me off.

"Pidge, it's okay. I was waiting for Lance to come back, but I guess you came instead," she said in a calm voice.

"Well, here are the clothes Lance asked me to bring," I say, pointing to the small stack of clothes on the table.

"Oh, thanks so much Pidge. I think that I'll change into them tomorrow morning since they don't seem like sleep clothes," she said. She then stands up and then holds out her hand. I take it and she pulls me up.

"Ummm, I was wondering if you could explain to me how the bathroom works?" she said with an embarrassed look on her face. I respond with a small chuckle.

"Sure, let me show you." when we go in, she proceeds to slip on the rug. She falls back, but I catch her. She then blushes quite profusely, rather embarrassed that she tripped on the rug.

"Do you need any help?" I ask.

"Maybe a little," she said, looking embarrassed that she needed help. I give her a small tour of the room and how to use certain items like the shower and the sink. "Thank you, Pidge, for helping me," she said. "Now if you excuse me, I'm going to take a shower and go to bed."

"Ok, if you need any help I'm just down the hall," I reply, happy that she is doing well. I then walk out the door to my room. 'What is this feeling my chest? Do I..... No, I just want to make sure she's ok, that's it' I think to myself.
