"Coran, how soon will we get to the Blade of Marmora's base?" Shiro asked. Once again, we were on the bridge.
"Based on the coordinates that Bocher gave us, we should be there within a few doboshes." Coran in formed.
"I can't wait to see it. I mean, they were able to fold space-time, and that was just at an outpost!" Pidge said excitedly.
"Mm, the space taco. It left us too soon." Hunk thought hungrily.
"Well, sure, but my point is, imagine how amazing their home base will be!"
"Exactly. It could take on any shape. Like a space jelly donut. Or long, like a space éclair. Or a space cheese blintz with a cherry sauce on top. Maybe a little dusting of powdered sugar. That's the stars." Hunk started fantasizing of food. 'Geez, when was the last time I've had Earth food?' I wondered to myself.
"Aw, now I'm hungry for breakfast!" Lance complained.
"Guys, this is a serious mission. We need to focus." Keith interjected.
"We need to focus." Lance mocked.
"The base is in range." Coran told us.
"Take us in slowly."
"That might prove the tiniest bit of a challenge." Coran pulled up the base. Leo, who was perched on my shoulder, looked at the screen. On the screen was two black holes and a blue star. The solar flares were being dragged into the black holes, making it difficult to see the base.
"Is that a black hole?" Hunk asked.
"No, no, no, no, no. It's two black holes and a giant blue star." Coran corrected.
"That's not better." he responded.
"No kidding. Just inside a black hole, the temperature is one millionth of a degree above absolute zero. But, just outside of that, it's hundreds of millions of degrees Celsius." Pidge informed.
"Okay, it's like when you try to nuke a frozen burrito in the microwave, and it comes out all scorching hot on the outside, but it's still frozen in the middle, right?" Hunk tried.
"Now I'm hungry for lunch!" Lance complained.
"Guys, quiet!" Keith snapped. "Coran, where's the base located?"
Coran zoomed in to find a sole asteroid."In between those three deadly celestial objects."
"The perfect defensive position." I said.
"Or the perfect trap." Allura countered, her distrust seeping into her voice.
"Yeah, I'm with Allura. Maybe we shouldn't, like, go in there at all?" Hunk tried.
"What are you talking about? We have to go in! This is the whole reason we came out here! There is no other option!" Keith yelled.
"Okay. Jeez. Calm down." Lance replied. The computer started beeping and galra letters appeared on the screen
"Identify yourself." A computer said, most likely saying what the letters spelled out.
"Open a hailing frequency, Coran." Coran pressed some buttons. "We are the Paladins of Voltron, sent here by Ulaz and Bocher." Shiro spoke clearly.
A moment of silence passed. The computer beeped again and the letters changed.
"Three may enter. Come unarmed." It said, then disappeared.
"Why would they insist we come unarmed? Shiro, this doesn't feel right." Allua said.
"We've come too far to turn back now." I said. "Beside, like Keith said, it's the whole reason we came here."
