*After Return of the Gladiator
Crystal's POV
Pidge helped me into the green lion and when we arrived at the castle, she took me to her room. It. Was. A. Disaster. Clothes and tech were scattered everywhere. Books that seemed to be forgotten were lying haphazardly on the floor and I could barely tell where the bed was.
"Holy quiznak, Pidge!" I say.
She seemed embarrassed. "Sorry, I'm not the neatest person in the world."
"It looks like a tornado hit your room!" Then I noticed a small mechanism that seemed to be on the only free space in the entire room.
"What's that?" I asked, pointing at the device. Pidge then went to pick it up.
"This is a hologram device I'm building. When activated, it should create a hologram of me that I can control."
"That's pretty cool. Either way, I was wondering if I could borrow some tools."
"What for? You still haven't told me what is wrong with your foot." 'Of course, she didn't forget. She's Pidge.' I let out a sigh.
"If I'm going, to be honest, I thought that I would have had more time to show you this but-" Pidge cuts me off.
"Are you secretly a robot spying on us for a group of AI that is trying to take over the universe!" I give her a look that says 'what the actual heck.'
"What! No." I then take off my shoes, revealing the metal prosthetics. Pidges' eyes lit up like fireworks. She then starts bombarding me with questions.
"How do they work? Can you feel pain? Well, probably not. Can they be used as weapons? Did it hurt to get them attached? When did you-" I put my hand over her mouth.
"Slow down. Let me first tell you what is wrong with them. Once we fix it, then you can ask me your millions of questions." She gives me a small nod.
"So, what is wrong with them?"
"Well, when the boulder fell on my right leg, it cracked the support which is what allows me to walk properly. The boulder also damaged the scanner along the heel of the foot." I say, motioning the crack running down the back of my lower leg(A/N - she has prosthetics on both of her legs and they go up to a little under her knee). Pidge nods.
"What do the scanners do?" she asked.
"Well, if necessary, they can scan the environment. That helps me in situations where I can't see. I can also control how sensitive it can be. The highest sensitivity I can do is to a molecular level, but if I try it on anything bigger than a baseball I get a headache that is the death of all things good in the world. I can't see color, most writing, things that are floating or screen displays with it. I can see in almost a 40-foot radius, but if I concentrate very hard, I could scan a small moon, but it would cause me to pass out." As I'm explaining it, Pidge is nodding, taking in every bit of information.
"So it's meant to be used as something to help with mapping and possibly stealth missions." she assumed. 'Oh Pidge, if only you knew the truth. I wish I could tell you.'
"Yeah, pretty much." I lie. "That's why I had that clamp on my feet when I was in a cell of the Galra ship. So I wouldn't be able to scan the ship and work out a way to escape. It can also work on living things. That aspect is most useful in fighting so I can see where their weakest point is."
"Okay, this may take a little bit, but I will be able to fix your leg. I just need you to come with me to a more.... organized place," she said. She then takes me to the Green Lion's hangar. "Okay, I have my computer set up. If I attach these cables, it should download the information I need to fix it." she then starts typing on her computer. Eventually, she gets the information.
"Okay, it seems simple enough to fix. I'll need to get some spare metal, but it should be simple enough to fix," she states. Then she starts her work. First, she needed to fix the crack. That was simple enough to fix. The scanners, however, were proving to be more of a challenge and Pidge was starting to get frustrated.
"Ugggghh," she let out a noise of impatience. "Why isn't this working. I've tried welding, patching, I've even tried replacing some parts." Then I had a thought.
"What if you do a scan of my other foot to see what it's supposed to be like." As I say this, Pidge's eyes widen.
"That's an amazing idea. I can't believe I didn't think of that!" Then she starts typing away on her computer, her eyes filled with determination. "I got it! The problem isn't the hardware, but the software. When the boulder crushed the support must have had so sort of magnetic rock in it that messed with the coding!"
"Okay, how easily can you fix it?" I ask.
"Well, it's going to be very easy because we already possess something with similar, if not the same, code." So she then starts typing on her computer for a second time. A few minutes pass, then I could see.
"I CAN SEE!" I shouted, slightly startling Pidge. "Sorry, but thank you so much Pidge." I then bring her into a hug. After a moment, I let her go.
"I-It wasn't a problem. If I'm going to be completely honest, it was a very fun project," she said while adjusting her glasses. "Well, why don't we head back to the ballroom. Allura said that she's hosting a party with the Arusians to celebrate our victory over the robot."
"Okay Pidge, let's go," I say. 'It'll be fine. Because of the party, Allura will probably be too busy to go after me.' I thought with optimism. 'After all, what's the worst that could happen.'

Hey guys, sorry this chapter was so short. I really wanted Pidge and Crystal to have a bonding moment before Fall of the Castle of Lions, so that is where this came from.
