«First of all!» said Mingyu loudly as his fingertips landed on the desk aggressively, his tone strict and his look serious.
Linda looked at him surprised, he was very cool a moment ago.
The man stared at her and then walked fast to the closet, he opened the door and walked in. He seemed like he was picking something out of a box.
Linda and Minghao looked simultaneously at each other and then back at Mingyu.
The girl started feeling anxious, his sudden behavior was stressing her out.
Mingyu turned to her with a serious look and closed his eyes. A second of silence mediated and he opened them again.
«Linda Evans... You will need this!» he said loudly again and revealed a white long robe.
She looked at the cloth, then at Mingyu and then back at the cloth.
Who would have known he was trying to joke sometimes. He seemed more serious than that.
«What kind of mad scientists are we supposed to be?» he said in a dramatic tone and walked closer to her. He stretched his arm, offering her the robe. «It's yours, I hope it fits you.» he said in a respectful now tone, his acting was weird.
Linda looked at him confused, she was relieved but could had almost die from his scary look.
«What the heck!? You scared me.» yelled the girl and grabbed the robe, holding it tightly as she wiped away the tear her eyes had just created.
«Man, you got issues.» said Minghao and patted his shoulder, Mingyu smiled at the girl ignoring his friend.
«Come on, I was joking. Just to start your first day with a smile.» he said and walked to his chair.
«Yeah right.» said Linda but couldn't help and let out a giggle.
She wore the robe proudly after making sure it was around her size and then sat to the chair across him.
«The data are incomplete.» said the girl bluntly and Mingyu froze as he had just grabbed the papers on his hands.
«When did you- I am not surprised.» he said and let out a small laugh.
Linda gave the papers a look the day before, it was easy to understand such a thing. For her obviously.
«Why didn't you repeat the experiment?» asked Linda and leaned behind, sitting more comfortably on her chair.
«Well, it costs a lot.»
«Money is not the problem, is it?» said Linda and crossed her legs.
Mingyu lifted his gaze and looked at the girl that answered him right away.
«It takes time.»
«We have all the time we want, don't we?» she continued and lifted one of her eyebrows.
Minghao was just sitting in the corner, he was surprised by her confidence. She seemed shy but she could become serious and built confidence very fast.
«Not exactly.» said Mingyu and lowered his gaze. «This is a top secret project... The more time it takes, the more we are in danger.»
«It's a time machine after all!» said Minghao and both of them turned to him with a serious look.
Neither laughed. Minghao just moved his hand, telling them to ignore what he had just said.
«Danger? This place seems safe.» said Linda, keeping the same sarcastic attitude.
