The two of them kept walking towards their gate. The possibilities of someone watching them were highly possible, but as long as they couldn't act in public, they were somehow safe.

Linda was looking around her frequently, not because she could recognize anyone but the feeling of being watched was growing bigger with every second that passed.

Maybe letting Joshua go ahead wasn't a good idea, she thought. He was supposed to be dead, if they found out then he would be in trouble as well.

She didn't know if it was better for their chasers to focus only on her and Mingyu so Joshua can get away, or that she could escape easier if Joshua got caught.

Her eyes were staring to the front, her hand holding Mingyu's.
The inner battle between feelings and logic had distracted her from all of her surroundings.

A lot of people had died only for her sake, so that she could be saved.

Why ruin it now, let their deaths be in vain and get caught on her last attempt on escaping CERN? Joshua could be the perfect bait.

She had enough of it, others dying for her when she had nothing to offer. Maybe if she died now, she could be somehow redeemed from the sins she was carrying.

Minghao had died on her arms, by her arms.

She could just continue and see how things would turn out on their own.
But she had not the luxury to depend on time. She had to decide once for her own life, counting always on others were tiring her.

Mingyu took a step closer to her as he tried to not bump into a group of people, he pushed her a little and she turned to him, coming back to reality.

It was him who had done all of this, the person that had decided that.

She eyed him with admiration and leaned towards him.

After all of his effort, she couldn't just destroy everything and hurt him again. Her only motive to continue trying was at the moment Mingyu, she didn't want him to repeat the same cycle over and over again.

She let aside all of her previous thoughts, it wasn't for the dead, not for herself, neither Joshua.
It was for him now.
And that's because she loved him.

Mingyu looked down at her and smiled, squeezing soflty her hand. They were very close at reaching their freedom, nothing could go wrong now.

"That's our gate." he said and pointed with his finger towards there, keeping his hand low.  "See the restroom across it?" he said and she nodded. "We shall wait there till the boarding begins, alright?" he said and Linda nodded once again.

There were a lot of people waiting around and it could be easy for them to blend in, but moving between standing people would give them away.

Joshua remained seated, with his hat placed in a position so that it was hiding half of his face.

His hands were on his thighs, as he was shaking his legs in anticipation.

"Are you going to Italy mister?" asked a woman and Joshua lifted his head to her, he didn't speak.
"Is this the right place?" she talked again and looked around her.

Joshua sighed and got up, he forced a smile and nodded.
The last thing he wished for was people asking him for directions.
He wanted to walk away and sit in the corner alone, but his eyes fell on Mingyu and Linda that were walking towards his direction.

"Where are you going, mr Hong?" said the woman and Joshua's eyes widened.

He eyed her shocked as his body had feeezed in that position. A warm and painful wave across his stomach caused him a spontaneous, awkward smile.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I please for your attention. The boarding on the flight A6321 to Rome has begun, all passengers proceed to the gate 37B." said the woman through the mic, everyone around picked their stuff and got ready to leave.

Joshua's heart started beating faster although he was feeling calm, he tried to remain relaxed.
He wiped his own smile off his face as he looked at Mingyu one last time.

They both stopped and looked towards the gate, now was the chance to blend with the crowd, everyone seemed in a hurry.

Two men that were walking slowly caught Mingyu's attention, he turned and made eye contact with Joshua, without expecting it.

"You need to follow me mr. Hong." said the woman in a strict tone, her expression cold.

The two men stood on both his right and left side.

Mingyu eyed the woman and then Joshua again. The second blinked softly, he was serious but it seemed like he was about to smile.

"Shit." whispered Mingyu and Linda turned to him, wondering what had happened now.

Joshua looked away, saying his last goodbye to his friend.

He looked at the woman and pushed her with force. She let out a sudden scream and everyone around looked towards them.

Joshua turned and started running deeper into the hall, making sure all of the attention was drawn into him.

The men immediately chased after him and so did the woman.

"What happened just now?" asked Linda and Mingyu didn't say anything.

He grabbed her wrist and pulled her towards the exit, getting in front of the people that were distracted by Joshua.

He gave quickly their passports and tickets to the lady sitting behind the counter. She eyed him annoyed but didn't speak, although most of the people waiting seemed annoyed as well.

"They caught him Linda. They caught Joshua" he said as he sat, trying to make his tall body comfortable on the small seat.

"What!" the girl spoke loudly but whispered right after. "Is this why.. But how?" she frowned and a disappointed expression appeared on her face.

"I have no idea." he whispered and kept his gaze on the people that were entering the airplane. "I can't believe I just took advantage of that." he said and holded both his cheeks between his fingers, that were pulling downwards the skin under his eyes.

The girl eyed him silently, the sadness and guilt in his voice were feelings she didn't know he had.

She realized that he was regretting his actions and hurted the most. Of course he did, another one of his friends got lost to help him.

"Can you believe there was a thief? What if he had stolen our bags?" said an old woman to her husband that were sitting behind them.

"Ah, young people these days.. No respect." exclaimed the old man and sighed.

They both kept silent through most of the flight, thinking of everything that had happened to them in one day.

It was all so fast, Linda needed time to accept all of it.

The girl leaned on him, placing her head on his shoulder. Mingyu exhaled silently and carefully, so that he wouldn't move much and disturb her.

He let his head lean on hers slowly and closed his eyes for a second.

If he could relax for a while, then now was right moment to do that.
