12 years later

"Hey dad. " the little boy turned to his father.

"Tell me Minghao." said Mingyu and looked at his son.

They were sitting on their balkony, watching the fellow members of the family playing on the grass.

"How does mom know martial arts so well?" he wondered and stared amazed at his mother.

Mingyu smiled and looked proudly at Linda.

"A very close friend taught her once." he said and patted the boy's head.

"I want mom to teach me too, not only my older sister." he said and looked at his dad eagerly.

"Of course! But daddy is very hungry now.. Shall we call them and get inside the house?" said Mingyu playfully as he rubbed his tummy.  "I made dessert." he added when the boy was looking at him not being able to decide.

"Yeah!" the nine year old moved his legs in excitement and grinned. "Mommy! Kathrin!" he shouted with his cute voice.

Linda and the girl lifted their heads to them as they were making their way to the balkony.

"Darling I'm hungry." pouted Mingyu and looked at his wife.

"Let's eat then." she said and took her son's hand. "What did you cook today?" she asked before taking a step to the front.

"You'll see." he said and walked in a fast pace, to surpass her.

"There is dessert mommy!" said Minghao happily and Linda's eyes widened in excitement.

"Really?" she exclaimed and even her eyes were smiling. "Mingyu, honey." she approached her husband and walked directly to his hug.

He placed his hand behind her head and kissed her forehead.

"Come ooon." whined the little girl and both of the parents chuckled at each other, getting dragged inside the house from their children's small hands.
