She ran to him, he sat on his butt and faced her.

"What have I done!"

She yelled in distress and threw her gun aside, her shaky hands were moving against her thighs.

She looked at his stomach, he was holding it with his one hand. Blood had painted the side of his fingers yet he seemed very cool.

"Ah, shit." he murmured and scratched his head with his other hand.

"I'm so sorry Minghao! I didn't know it was you!" she shouted and was trying to touch him, but didn't know where.

She wanted to help him somehow.

"It's alright, chill Linda." he said and smiled at her, the girl looked at him confused. "You didn't know it was me, you thought it was probably one of the pursuers." he said and the young woman nodded aggressively. "I should had talked.. But I didn't know if they had already found you.. And you couldn't speak either." he continued slower. "So your reaction was logical. Relax." he said and smiled once again.

"But look what happened to you! You are bleeding, we need to do something!" she yelled and looked at his stained hand, his posture was calm and cool.

"It doesn't seem like something serious, Joshua will help me out, chill." he said and the smile didn't leave his face.

He indeed seemed alright, his voice and breathing pace was normal.
It seemed like he knew about Joshua as well.

"But.. I'm so sorry." continued Linda and her eyes turned teary.

The first friend she made in CERN was now in front of her, bleeding because she had caused it.
She would never bear the responsibility of a friend's death, in the end, he hadn't done anything bad.

"You need to flee the country." said Minghao and looked in the distance, he guessed that Mingyu and Joshua would be downstairs. "Ursula is not dead, but it wouldn't change anything if she was. They will keep chasing you." he said and Linda started relaxing, it was a good sign if he could speak.

"How did you manage to get out of there..?" she said and the young man shrugged.

"It doesn't really matter at the moment. If we survive this, I'll describe you my badass fights I had." he said and the girl smiled slightly, it made her feel better.

"Alright- Why are they chasing Mingyu?" she said hastily as she remembered.

She was hoping that he would finally answer her, just only that.

"Because that bastard.. He did something he shouldn't had done.. I knew a lot, but he even hid from me that information." he said and smirked, he wasn't mad at all.

He looked at the woman and placed his hand on her shoulder.

"The murderer everyone was speaking of.. He doesn't exist, Linda." he said and the girl lowered her eyebrows. "He doesn't exist because the burnt body wasn't someon-" his sudden cough interrupted him, he covered his mouth with his fist.

"Are you okay!?" yelled Lidna as Minghao kept coughing aggressively.

He placed both of his hands on the floor as he was coughing all of his blood out. The girl looked at him freaked out, was he dying?

"L-Linda." he managed to say through his bloody mouth, he started shaking and his face was getting closer to the floor.

"Please stay with me!" she yelled as she was trying to hold his collapsing body.

"T-The body-" he coughed and turned to her, to look in her eyes. "It's..Mingyu." he said and his hands started relaxing.

Linda looked at him and furrowed her eyebrows, he was dying and the information he just gave her needed an explanation.

"Minghao no!" she yelled and pressed on his stomach, it was too late to stop the bleeding.

There was nothing she could do about it.

"You must live on-" he said and his final cough shut him up.

The smile on his face was there, he let his head fall as it was hanging from the neck Linda was holding.

He seemed happy, not scared of dying.

The young woman gasped as his eyes closed, she placed her hand on his cheek and shook him in order to wake him up.

But he would never wake up, his heart had stopped beating.

Mingyu jumped over the stairs, he turned his head towards the room they had left her.

"Linda!" he yelled as he could distinguish her figure in the dark, the moonlight was barely hiding behind it.

He ran there and stopped a few meters behind her.

"Why?" she said silently as she was still holding Minghao on her hands. "Why Mingyu?" she said a lit bit louder, the sadness in her eyes was clear, but there were no tears.

Mingyu looked at Minghao and frowned, he wasn't surprised but he didn't wanted this to happen.

"Why do they have to die in order for me to live?" she yelled and turned to him, he eyed her hesitatally through the dark. "Kathrin.. Angela and her friend.. Now Minghao.. Why?" she continued with the same tone.

Joshua approached Mingyu from behind and looked at the body, it was easy to understand what had happened.

"Minghao..Jesus Christ." he mumbled and turned around, he covered his mouth with his fist and closed his eyes tightly.

Even though he was involved in this situation, killing wasn't his thing. He wanted to help his friend but he never thought someone would die in his house. It was horrible and disgusting for him.

"Linda.. I never wanted this to happen.. Oh god Minghao." he said and his fingers run through his hair in frustration, he still had control over his emotions. "I know that's awful but I swore that I would do anything to protect you. No matter what!" he said and the girl turned to the body she was holding.

She slowly placed him on the ground and got up.

"Why protect me? Mingyu you-!" the girl yelled at him and shot him a gaze full of anger. "You traveled through time, didn't you!?" she shouted and Mingyu just stood there, listening to her without reacting.

"That's right Linda. I used the time machine we built together to travel in the past, in order to save you. Because they killed you." he said in a blunt tone and the girl slightly gasped as he reassured her suspicions.
