«Something is missing again.» said Linda and looked strangely at the gap between the numbers.

She sighed and without thinking much about it, she placed the sheet aside.

Mingyu gave a side look at the other papers, there were a couple of them, of incomplete data.

Ursula was not specialized on his sector so as long as he himself didn't notice, the others couldn't doubt him.
It was his and, now, Linda's idea.
Since they were trying something new, nobody could think of it as false.
But Linda was aware of its mistakes.

«I don't really think that those are the important stuff.» said Mingyu and kept marking with his pen.

The wonan lifted her gaze on him, she stopped writing.

«We can't move on without those.» she said and returned to her work.

Of course it was boring, letters and numbers were less interesting than doing experiments. They both had to be patient.

«How long will you keep doing that? It has been a week already.» mumbled Minghao and leaned behind on the wall, crossed his arms and closed his eyes. His job could be boring as well.

Another week passed by the same way.

All day they were inside Mingyu's office, working on the data. They took some breaks for their meals and then returned to work. There was no time to hang out with other people, only Lisa would greet her at lunch.
However, her, Minghao and Mingyu would stay together all day long.

«Tsk.»

Linda sighed silently and put the paper aside. Full of holes yet she didn't seem like she cared. She would continue and not talk about it.

«Why aren't you asking me?» said Mingyu without looking at her.

He was aware of her getting sick of all those gaps.

«Ask what?» said Linda in a calm tone, it didn't sound like she was interested in the answer of her question but neither was it rude.

«You want to ask, don't you? I missed a lot of things.» said the man and looked at her, surprisingly she was staring at him.

«But you reply always the same. What's the point of it?» she said and he got up.

«Wanna take a break? Let's go for a walk.» he suggested and gestured her to get up.

She looked at him and didn't hesitate to follow him. She was pretty tense at the moment so a walk would be ideal.

He closed the door, leaving Minghao inside, watching the office. Normally he would lock it because, first of all, he didn't trust anyone in there and, second, it was annoying him more than anything when others entered his space without asking.

Linda took some steps as she walked deeper in the hallway, Mingyu caught up with her quickly.

«Why are you here?» he asked and shoved both of his hands into his pockets.

Linda turned to him and then back to the front when their eyes met.

«Why? What do you mean?» she said and slowly crossed her arms. «The job was offered to me and I accepted. I don't see why not...» she said and shrugged.

«Is that so? NASA offered you a job earlier, didn't it? Don't tell me you were just playing difficult.» he said and smiled, he could be serious as hell but kind as well.

He always tried to joke with her, so she could feel more comfortable.

«I just didn't want to go there.» she said as she hugged her stomach even tighter.
