Chapter 42

<Chris P.O.V>

I sped up my pace as I was driving home, I honestly was shook. When I made it home I ran past Tiana and went straight upstairs and locked myself in the bathroom.

"Chris Whats Wrong?!" I heard Tiana yell.

I sat on the floor and rocked back and forth praying that my mind wasn't playing tricks on me. I knew Saige was dead I seen her get shot in the head plus her body was burned in that house.

"No, No, No This can't be real, it just can't" I whispered to myself.

"Chris? Who are you talking to?"

I began to stutter "N-No one baby I'll be out in a minute"

I got back up and looked at myself in the mirror, I turned the sink on and splashed cold water in my face. I looked up at the mirror again and saw Saige behind me. I hurried and turned around and she was gone.

I'm going insane. I opened the cabinet and grabbed my pill bottle and took out two pills. I swallowed them and closed my eyes, if this what I had to do in order to make me stop hallucinating then so be it.

I took a deep breath and put my pills in the cabinet and walked out the bathroom.

"Baby why did you run in here? Are you ok?"

I sighed "Yeah I'm good, I just need to lay down and relax"

"Do you need some time alone?" Tiana asked.

I shook my head no "Nah just lay with me real quick until I go to sleep"

"Okay"

I took my shirt and my pants off and laid down in bed, Tiana joined me and I just cuddled up under her. Every time I was with her I felt safe.

"Aye Ti"

She looked down at me "Yeah baby?"

"Have you ever....never mind"

"No tell me"

I sighed "I just don't wanna sound crazy"

"Boy you act like we didn't meet in a mental institution"

I chuckled "You right.... but um have you ever had hallucinations?"

"Yeah this one time I ate an edible, it was pretty trippy"

I laughed "No like say you didn't take your meds and you started having hallucinations"

She scrunched up her face "Chris...are you trying to tell me something?"

"No im just hypothetically speaking"

"Well no I never hallucinated before even if I didn't take my meds but me and you have two completely different disorders Chris."

I rubbed her small stomach and continued "True...um anyways how did you sleep?"

"Chris are you taking your meds?"

"I took them today"

"So why did you bring this conversation up if you're taking your meds"

I sighed "Let's just forget about it, it's nothing"

"Christopher Maurice Brown Tell me the truth. Do I need to get up and check the bathroom cabinet?"

"No.... ok look if I tell you this just promise you won't be mad"

"I can't promise that but go ahead and tell me"

I sat up " Ever since we moved to Cali I haven't been taking my pills.... That explains my outrageous behavior"
