Chapter 12

<Chris P.O.V>

I love her so much I don't know what I would do without her. She's my better half. After I took that shower with her we laid down in her bed and just cuddled all night. I didn't want to let her go. She eventually fell asleep in my arms. I stayed up just playing with her hair and thinking about our potential future. Was I really in love or was I just "pussy-whipped"? No doubt I'm in love with this girl.

*Phone rings*

I looked around to see who's phone it was and I found out it was mine, I saw that Joyner was calling me. I looked at the time and it was almost 12 at night.

[Phone Convo]

Me-Hello

Joyner- Yo Chris we gotta problem

Me- What's wrong ?

Joyner- I just seen Trey leave town I don't know where he's going but I sent one of my niggas to follow him

Me- Okay so does he know where Trey is?

Joyner- He saw him go to the airport, My mans said he took a flight to the VA

Me- I know exactly where he's going, I'll book a flight to Virginia in the morning but right now imma get some rest.

Joyner- Alright bro

Me- Joyner as a matter of fact I want you to come with me, just Incase some shit pops off

Joyner- Alright just meet me at my crib early in the morning and we'll drive to the airport

Me-Alright bro talk to you later

"Baby where you going?"

Damn I thought she was sleep, she scared the fuck outta me.

"Me and my brother gotta go to Virginia tomorrow to handle some business but I'll be back"

"Can I go with you?"

I shook my head "No baby it's too dangerous, I want you to be here safe were nobody can hurt you"

"But... What if..."

"There's not gonna be no What If's baby just trust me, I'll promise I'll be back"

She kissed me " Ok baby, let's just get some sleep ok?"

"Alright" I kissed her again then I fell asleep with her.

~The Next Morning~
•5:15 am•

I quietly left Amani's house and went straight to Joyner's crib. I already texted him to get ready so he already had his things together.

"Chris where's your stuff why you not packed?" He asked me.

"I gotta crib out in Virginia , I got clothes there already bro"

"Since when?"

"Remember the house momma was renovating? Well I bought it and fixed it up , now that's my go to place whenever I need to clear my head." I told him.

"Why don't you just move back to Virginia?"

"My life is here in LA, but let's stop talking about this we gotta catch our flight"

After that Joyner grabbed his stuff and walked over to my car. We drove over to the airport and took our flight straight to Virginia.
