Chapter 53

~The Next Day~

<Chris P.O.V>

Léla is officially on my block list, I mean it's kinda my fault that she acted that way because I did lead her on. But it was real unexpected because I didn't think she liked me in that type of way. I'm not really worried about her tho I'm just excited for later on.

Anyways after doing my morning routine I decided to go for a more softer look, something that Tiana never seen before. Because she's so used to me with my braids and my unshaven beard . I decided to clean up my beard a little bit before getting dressed. (Chris look in the MM)

I looked at my phone to check the time and it was 11:00. I hurried and left the house so I wouldn't be late picking Tiana up.

I arrived 15 minutes later and I called her to come outside. A few seconds later her caregiver was pushing her out the front door. Damn I forgot she was in a wheelchair.

I got out the car and walked up to her "Hey beautiful"

She smiled at me "Hey Chris"

"I got her sis" I told her caregiver while bringing Tiana to the car.

I opened the passenger side door and helped Tiana inside then I put her wheelchair in the trunk.

I hopped in the car the looked at Tiana admiring her beauty.

"All you gonna do is stare?" She laughed

"I don't mind, but let's get something to eat baby"

I put my seatbelt on and drove off.

"Chris"

"Yes?"

"Why are you smiling so hard? You've been smiling since I got in the car."

I'm not gonna lie that made me smile even harder.

"It's a beautiful day"

She nodded "You ain't wrong about that"

Tiana didn't think I caught her but peeped her biting her lip at me. I can see her in my peripheral view.

A few minutes later we arrived one of the nicest cafes in Cali. I hopped out the car and started walking to the door.

"Chris!"

I ran back to the car "Ti I'm so sorry I forgot you was in a wheelchair"

I grabbed her chair from the trunk and helped Tiana out the car.
I already reserved us a table so I checked in and brought Tiana to the table.

"I can't believe you almost forgot my ass" she laughed.

"I swear I didn't forget, I just forgot yo ass couldn't walk for now. When you gonna be able to walk again?"

"In like 5 to 6 months" she frowned.

"Aww don't be sad, you gonna be walking soon I promise"

She smiled at me "Thank you Chris"

"So about yesterday you said we're friends For Now"

"Ok what's your point?"

"Excuse me, are you guys ready to order?" The waiter said interrupting our conversation.

Tiana smiled "Yes, Can I get the French toast with scrambled eggs and bacon?"

"Sure" he began writing in his notepad "And for you sir?"

I spoke "Yeah um.... let me get the uh.... the Belgian waffles make sure you add strawberries and whipped cream. I'd also like scrambled eggs with hash browns"
