1|Employed!?

Yeon Seo's pov

It was 8 in the morning and I got up to the sound of my alarm . I hugged my plushies and was kind of pissed as I had to leave my comfortable bedding arrangement and blanket . However I had to get up and go through my mails to check if any company wanted to hire me as their employee.

It had been 3 months since I had graduated and had created a LinkedIn profile and was on the look out for jobs, but to my surprise I had not yet got any jobs in spite of having tons of degrees and certificates.

I finally dragged myself out of the bed by 8:30 and went to have breakfast with my parents. Yup I was still living with them and was kind of guilty that being 23 years of age I was still unemployed and kind of a burden to my parents. However my parents were super supportive and had been a constant support all this while.

I finished having my breakfast and took my laptop and headed to my bedroom to check my inbox. There were about 5000 unread e-mails and I decided to go through them but to my surprise none were of use and about 75% were spam e-mails.

I was depressed of living this plain kind of life in Ohio since the age of 6 . I missed the days when I was living in Busan with my parents. My dad's business did not work in Busan and he got burdened with loans and we had to move to Ohio to my uncle who supported us financially for a few days until my dad got a job. However it was becoming tough for him to support the family as he was also ageing.

I was about to shut my laptop and was going to head out to help my mom with the dishes. However I heard my laptop beeping and found a new mail notification, I speculated it to be another spam message but to my utter surprise it was an e-mail from a Korean coffee company called 'Kakao Koffee' which had just launched it's product in the Korean market and was looking for employees. I was flabbergasted on this piece of news and started squealing in excitement which made my parents come rushing to my room . As soon as they heard the piece of the news they hugged me and said they were proud of me and they knew that things would get better.

However they were hiring me as an transfer employee and would judge my capabilities and if I worked to my full potential only then would they make me a permanent employee. I didn't care about the position i was getting in, all i cared was about that I was finally getting a job .
