The hollow

Chapter 1

Hello guys! It's me again. Ok so this is one of the many books I'm working on. I have been brain storming for a week or so and I have some really good ideas for so many books and I didn't know which one to start so I am starting all of them. Because of this I'm taking breaks from my other books in order to write these, so far I'm in the process of writing the 1st chapter for 2 of my books. That I'm working on, I also have two more books that I'm in the process of, one of the books I wrote the first chapter but forgot to save it so I will try to write that again later. But the other one I don't really know where I'm going with it so I'm not going to write the chapters and then post the two I like the most

I sat at my kitchen table munching on my cereal my little brother sitting next to me. "Hey Alexa?" He asked looking into my eyes he looked a little worried. "Yeah Ben?" I asked sympathetically. "Is the, is the fair scary?" He asked. I laughed a little at that.

My little brother Ben was 5 almost 6 and this year would be his first year at the annual Halloween fair in Chicago, every year people would dress up and have crazy decorations on there houses in the neighborhood there would be tricker treating and party food games haunted hay rides, everything! It's probably the reason Halloween is my favorite Holliday. "Some of the games are a little scary but it's really fun Ben! I loved my first one and I know you will too." I said scruffing up his hair

"Hey stop" he said grabbing at my hands and laughing. Tomorrow was the fair and I have been planing for weeks. My 4 best friends Tess, Steven, Layla and James would all be going and I couldn't wait!

"Hey ben get outside, the bus will be here soon don't get mom angry" I teased grabbing his back pack. "Here" I said putting it over his shoulders. He grabbed my hand and we walked outside to the bus.

Once we got on Ben took a seat in the front and I sat in the back with Layla she's also my neighbor, she had a huge smile on her face. "What? What is it!" I squealed because I knew that smile. "The fairs tomorrow and I can not wait!" She almost yelled. "Shhhhhh" I said putting my index finger to my mouth. "Sorry I just am super excited." She said and her smile grew bigger if that was even possible and her big glossy blue eyes grew wide.

"I know I can barely wait!" I said smiling back. The bus reached the preschool and then started driving over to the high school. Layla and I hopped off the buss to find Tess and Steven standing outside the school. "HEY GUYS!" I yelled waiving my hands in the air I saw them wave back and we started to walk to them. "Hey Alex hey Layla" Steven said. "Hey guys!" I said smiling but then my smile faded and I looked around. "Where's James?" I asked worried. "He's sick" Tess said crossing her arms. "What? Will he be able to come tomorrow? I asked slightly worried. "I don't know he just called me and said he was sick that was it." She said upset. "Guys there is no way he's missing the fair ok! He just can't it only happens once a year and it's the best time of year!" He said and his voice started to get high pitched. We all laughed at him. "Oh my god, had to get ganged up on by girls didn't i?" He laughed and we started to walk down the hallway.

I had home room then I went to math and biology. I sat down and took my seat. My lab partner was Steven in this class so we sat down and the teacher started lecturing us on some test we were taking next week. "Hey don't worry about it ok?" Steven whispered he must of noticed I was upset the group wouldn't be the same without James at the fair we had gone every year all together and I didn't want to go without him.

I nodded and then the teacher pointed at Steven. "Mr. Holick there is no talking in class" she snapped and then went right back to pointing out random things on the bored. "Whatever" Steven mumbled under his breath. "That's it Steven detention tomorrow afternoon" she said smiling, jeez that teacher was evil. "Wait! Mrs, Evans tomorrow is the fair" I said. "Alexandria do you want a detention tomorrow too?" She spit out the words. I shook my head and slouched back in my chair. Everything was being ruined.
