Three house later and Steven still hadn't woken up. Layla was asleep in her chair which was beside mine, I couldn't sleep the sound of the constant beeping made me stay awake. If he woke up I wanted to be the first person to see him. He laid under the cheap covers still with what seemed like endless tubes sticking in every which way. I looked at the clock which read 3:47 am and I sighed slouching back in my chair. A nurse entered the room a few seconds later and started to change whatever liquid was being pumped into his body. "Your still awake I see" she smiling. I nodded, I didn't really feel like talking when all I could think about was him.
"He will be fine sweetie" was all she said before slipping out of the room closing the door quietly behind her. Layla twisted and turned in her sleep obviously having some kind of night mere. "You okay?" I asked. She mumbled something in her sleep before she stopped moving and laid there quietly. I was scared to go to sleep to have a night bringing me back to so many tragic experiences Iv gone through and I don't know how to handle it.

The sun peeked through the window close to Stevens bed and I still hadn't gotten a wink of sleep. Layla was still sleeping silently and so was Steven. I missed him already I needed him to be okay. A doctor and a nurse entered the room with Steven mother which took me by surprise. Where was my mom? They entered the room and she sat on a chair on the other side of his bed so she was facing us.
The doctor and nurse smiled before leaving the room leaving us alone. "Hi Alexa" she said smiling sweetly. "Hi do you know where my mom is?" I asked anxiously. "She's st home they won't let her leave, they say with people after everyone and her being pregnant it's to much of a risk" she said sighing. "There are police everywhere outside of everyone's houses and even the hospital" she said and looked over at Steven her eyes glistening with tears.
"We have all been worried sick" she said. I nodded tears brimming my eyes.
I heard a groan come from Steven and turned over to see him starting to sit up
