The car swerved off the road and started to tumble to the side. The car was flipping! I heard Layla and Steven screaming besides me and it took me a moment to realize I was screaming too. "Don!" I yelled wondering what was the start of the flip. Did he shoot him? The glass of the window shattered next to me and cut many places of my arms face back everywhere and Steven hovered over me trying to protect me. My head and body was thrown all around the back of car and I felt the sharp pain everywhere imaginable.

Was it possible the car was still spinning or was that my head? The car was on its side and Steven and Layla were just as disoriented as I was. "we half to get out they must be coming" Steven whispered. Layla and I nodded as well as we could and crawled more like fell to the front of the car. I kept falling to the side of the car and slamming my body into endless shards of broken glass. Once I got to the front I looked over to Don. "No!" I shrieked taking in what was in front of me.

There was a bullet through his forehead and two in his chest. I sobbed looking at the man who I had grown fond of the one man I knew I could be safe with. Steven grabbed my arm and pulled me out of the van along with Layla and we stumbled out into the desert? God where were we. I looked back at the van tears staining my face and watched as it blew into flames. "run before the engine explodes!" Steven said. I wondered about his gun shot wound which was obviously healing but he was stumbling and limping as fast as he could awkwardly I could feel the large growing bump in my head but tried to ignore it as I stumbled after him through the desert. I could hear the sound of the explosion behind me and so just like Layla and Steven I threw myself to the ground in hopes of Saving myself from flying shards of the van.
