A/N first and foremost I would like to update this chapter to @janetfoster8 thank you for voting for every chapter it really brightens my day! Love you all and thanks for almost 90 reads in one day!Being kidnapped was not something I ever thought would happen to me. About a month ago I would never think something like this would happen in my small quiet neighborhood with my closest friends and now here I was tide up in the back of a trunk. The duck tape burned my face and the rope was irritating my wrists and ankles. The trunk was sort of big, big enough for Steven and I to fit but besides that it was kinda cramped.
Steven looked into my eyes with pure fear. I looked back wondering how much longer I would have with him. My eyes darted around the trunk trying to find anyway that I could possibly help us escape. I saw the tail light and my immediate instinct was to kick it and so that's what I did. The light popped out and started hanging from the trunk from a wire. I scooted over to the hole looking out to see where we were.
It was basically an empty road with tree surrounding it. I looked around hoping for any signs of a car when finally their was one. The car was directly behind us and I put my head to wear the light once was my eyes wide trying to get their attention I don't know if they actually saw me but soon the car was gone and we were left alone on the open road.
My heart was beating in my chest rapidly and my breaths were getting quicker. I kept staring out of the hole but all I saw was road and all I could wonder was how for away we were from home. I could feel tears threatening to spill as I thought about never seeing my home again and everyone that came with it. I was really going to die.
After what seemed like hours it was still dark out and the car came to a stop in front of a cabin on a dirt road. I gulped as the trunk door opened up. "Bad idea kicking out the light, you'll half to pay for that" he snapped. My eyes opened wider as more people piled in behind him grabbing me and Steven pulling us into the house. I tried to struggle but I couldn't move at all I was frozen in place by the ropes and by my own fear. "You got them" I heard a familiar voice say. I looked up only to fine that my eyes met with James's.
Je really was the killer and this was all I need to brake me. I looked straight into his eyes until we were out of the room and being carried down stairs into a cellar with concrete walls. "Alex, Steven!" Layla shrieked. Wait Layla? Soon we were all thrown into the cell and the door was close leaving Layla Steven and I in the cold concrete room. "Here I'll untie you" she said and scrambled over to us removing the ropes and duck tape. I started to shake holding my wrists realizing what had just happened.
"We were kidnapped my James" I said half asking half stating it. Layla nodded before crawling back to where we first saw her leaning against the wall hugging her knees to her chest. "We thought you were dead" I said shaking at the thought of finding Layla's body. "I thought you would" she said sighing. Steven crawled over to Layla and I did the same and soon we found ourselves huddled together trying to stay warm
And in this moment I realized that no matter what situation I was in
I would always be thankful for my true friends.
