A/N oh god guys 1k! 1k WHAT ON EARTH AHHH I can't believe we have made it this far guys I can't thank you enough I love you all so much!
He groggily opened his eyes and groaned in pain as soon as he sat up. "Alexa?" He whispered. "Hey I'm right here" I said moving my body onto the bed. Layla yawned and opened her yes rubbing them gently. "Steven!" She shrieked the second she woke up and rushed to his side. "Oh my god I was shot!" He screeched looking down at his stomach. "No kidding" I said smiling and rushed into his arms. "Ow!" He shrieked jokingly. "Sorry I just, I was so scared" I said and hugged him tighter and let him snake his arms around me. He did the same with Layla before looking at his mom who now had tears streaming down her cheeks. "Mom" he whispered and she rushed to the bed crying into his shoulder hugging him tightly. "Oh sweetie I was so worried!" She said In between sobs. "I'm ok mom really" he said but he winced so I could tell he was in extreme pain.
A doctor walked in and told us too all sit back in our chairs and examined Steven. "You will half to stay for a little bit longer so we can make sure your healing properly and give you the correct medicine" he said writing a few things down on a clipboard. He nodded and laid back down pulling the covers to his chin. "Maybe we can watch a movie?" Steven asked once the doctor left Layla and I agreed and Stevens mom left to get us all breakfast.
"You look exhausted Alex" he said furrowing his eyebrows. "I haven't slept for two days" I confessed sighing. "What! Oh my god Alex you need to sleep come here" he said patting the area on the bed next to him. I groggily made my way to the bed and the second my head hit the pillow I was asleep.

Once I woke up it was 5:30pm and Layla and Steven were playing cards next to me on the bed. "Hey look who finally woke up" Steven teased. "Mhhhmmm" I said and turned over on my side rubbing my eyes. Once I woke up I realized I was still in the blood stained clothes that I was wearing from when James kidnapped us. I looked to Layla who was wearing a oversized blue T shirt that was tide in the back and some black leggings, "Stevens mom brought us some clothes your are over there" she said somehow reading my thoughts, pointing to the chair I had been sitting in before. I nodded and trudged out of bed to collect the bag Stevens mom had packed and exited the hospital room entering the corridor. I saw doctors and nurses walking by smiling at me with concern.
I finally made my way to a bathroom and shuffled in realizing how disgusting I look I dug through the bag finding a pair of black leggings similar to Layla's and a purple T shirt which was just my size. I freshened up a bit and found some perfume and a hair brush in the bag and silently thanked Stevens mom. Once I was dressed and smelled a bit better I domed through my hair and pulled it into a pony tail before collecting my things and finding my way back to Stevens room.
Once I entered Steven and Layla smiled at me as I crawled onto the bed next to them. "There tracking James" Steven said rubbing the back of his neck. "Will they catch them?" I asked hopefully. "I don't know they said they were close" he said sighing and leaned into the pillow behind him. Just then the door flew open and the sherif stood in the door way with a worried expression. "We need to go to the station James is coming, we have been tracking him and it seems he is trying to find a way back to Steven, I have men everywhere we will surely get him but we need you all to be safe" he said I gasped and Layla and I ran around the room collecting whatever we could get, a doctor entered the room with a wheel chair and a bag of Stevens belongings and soon we were all rushing out of the hospital into a black van.

"This is my deputy Officer Callaghan" the sherif said motioning to a man driving the van.
