My eyes were squeezed shut at the sound of the gunshots. I didn't want to see a body I didn't want to see anything. Finally after minutes of no noise I forced my self to open my eyes. No one was there no blood no people no anything, i looked around the room still unable to move since I was bound to the bed posts. I saw two bullet holes in the wall to the right of me. "Steven!" I yelled. I heard no answer. "A-Alex!" I heard someone yell. "I'm in here please help!" I shrieked and soon Layla was in the room untying me from the bed. "Oh god Alex I though you were dead!" She said sighing with relief. "Where's Steven?"I asked. "I don't know he came to find you tha-" soon she was cut off by a yell coming from the opposite side of the cabin,
I looked at Layla and at the same time we both bolted out of the room to where the yell was. "Steven!" I yelled again hoping he would respond. I rushed down the hallway peeking through doors for any sung if him but nothing. There was nothing there. "Where is he?" I shrieked. I heard another yell much closer this time and I took off to the room just a few doors down. I bursted through the door only to find a open window and Steven on the floor in the corner a gun in his hand. "Steven!" I yelled and rushed to his side. "He got away" he said groaning. I looked at him wide eyed. "He's gone?" I asked. "Ya he yelled to all his goons to get out and then jumped out the window, maniac" he mumbled. "Were ok! Were safe" I yelled in victory.
I looked at Stevens plain expression wondering why he wasn't cheering along with me. And that's when I saw it, the blood his shirt. The entire lower part of his stomach was soaked in blood and he held his side his face turning pale. "Steven" I asked. "Steven stay with me!" I yelled Layla was soon next to him trying to stop the blood yelling the same as me as his face got paler and paler. "Who did this?" I asked. "James" he said coughing and sputtering. "We half to get him to the hospital, now!" I yelled.

Wandering down a long rode at night was terrifying, what was even more terrifying was wandering down a road at night with your friend who had just been shot and was currently dying, we had been wondering for maybe an hour but it felt like a lifetime. Steven was in so much pain we were pretty much carrying him."don't go on me ok keep your eyes open" I repeated I had been saying this over and over making sure he didn't slip away, "it's been an hour and there are no cars" Layla said sighing, we continued to walk until I saw a bright light in front of us. "Car!" I shrieked. I waved my hands in the air letting Steven lean on Layla and the car came to a haunt on the side of the rode. The window rolled down to see a older women smiling, "is everything all right here?" She asked.
"Can I please use your phone" I said panting. She nodded and reached into her purse digging around before holding me a old flip phone. I smiled and dialed in 911. "Hello what is your emergency" I nears a raspy voice ask. "my friend has just been shot I need medical help immediately"

It's weird how fast a ambulance can come. There was an ambulance that took Steven in and sped away leaving me and Layla with blankets wrapped around our shoulders in the back of a police car. It was the sherif who smiled at us. "We have been looking all over for you" he said smiling as we sped behind the ambulance. I ignored him and only focused on the image of Steven when I first saw the blood. Soon we were rushing out of the car as fast as we could running into the building.
Steven had to be ok
He had to be
