The hollow

Chapter 2

A/N hey guys! So this story has a few more votes than the other one but that one had more reads so what I'm going to do is start writing this one and try to squeeze in some chapters for the other one. This story might seem a little bit boring now but I have really good ideas for later on possibly in the next chapter so get ready!

I sat next to Layla on the bus ride home we didn't talk much we were too upset that Steven and maybe even James would have to miss the fair. "Hey I got an idea!" Layla said and her face lit up, "ugh what?" I asked probably a little to harsh. "Ok invite everyone to my house I have a plan!" She said and pulled out her phone and started to call someone. The bus reached our bus stop and we walked to our houses.

I went into my house with Ben and wrote a note to my mom that I was at Layla's place. I took Ben and we walked over there. "Hey Ben" Layla said opening the door. He didn't answer just ran inside to play with her little brother Donny.

"Ok I called Steven,James and Tess and they all said they would come over" Layla said sitting on her bed. "Awesome! Now how about that plan?" I asked excitedly. "Not until they get here!" She said laughing. Pretty soon there was a nock on the door and James and Steven were standing outside.

"Hey guys" James said smiling. "You don't sound sick to me" I said folding my arms over my chest. "I just didn't want to go to school alright" he laughed and came walking inside with Steven. Tess showed up a few minutes later. "Hey!" She said walking through the door and we all walked up to Layla's room.

"Ok so what's the big plan?" Tess asked. "We need to get Steven out of detention" Layla said and we all nodded. "But we kinda need a way to do it right?" She asked "just get to the point!" Steven said frantically and I giggled. "Ok so this is how it will go, Tess you go in pretending your at the after school homework helping thing and then you go to the detention room and say you just came to the wrong place and then start up a convo with her" she said. I nodded and so did everyone else and then she continued. "Distract her for a while and ask her if she can show you where the actual room is then while she leaves we will sneak over to the window in the back and you will come through and we'll leave. Oh and Tess as soon as she leaves just come outside." She said. " wow Layla you came up with all of that on the bus!" I said laughing and everyone else joined in too.

After a while of talking going over the plan and finishing our homework we all went home. "Hey mom" I said when I walked into my house with Ben, "hey guys! Did you have fun?" She asked smiling. "Yeah" I said and Ben rushed into her arms hugging her. "Where's dad?" I asked looking around. "Had to work late he'll be here later" she said carrying Ben up to his room to get ready for bed. I ran up the stairs and changed into my pajamas. And soon I drifted off to sleep.

I woke up the next morning super excited for later. I couldn't wait for the fair I knew how much fun it would be. I looked over to my outfit and my bag for tonight I almost squealed with happiness. I quickly got up and started to get ready grabbed my back pack and rushed downstairs to find my dad making breakfast. "Hey Alex" he said smiling. "Hey dad" I said sitting at the table taking my place next to Ben. I gobbled down my food and took Ben outside to go on the bus.

Once we got to school Tess,Steven, James, Layla and I walked down the hallway discussing our plan. The day seemed like it couldn't move any slower. We were waiting practically forever each class felt like hours. Finally the bell rang and we were ready to set the plan in motion.
